Hi there!

Michele - I wish I'd been there to save your cake from the evil disposer. I cracked up how you specifically wrote that the cake was "single layer." Another friend of mine told me that his choice of kitty litter box was ultimately chosen by his cat LOL. He says he tried a bunch of types, and the kitty would show his displeasure by doing #2 right NEXT to the box. When my friend found the one that kitty liked, all was good. The Omega one looks good, too. I'm bookmarking now. Oh man, several litter boxes would not be an option for the amount of space a Japanese apartment has. Those guys are gonna have to share. Hopefully since I plan to get two siblings at the same time, that won't be an issue...?

Diane - Oh man, that red Petmate thing looks totally fun! And great for a place with little space since it folds up for storage. I'm bookmarking this one, too, right now. Look at those cute black things inside. Kitties must go nuts! Like you guys, we're also going to need to put our litter box in a place that is used often, so no smell is a BIG factor. Course I guess no smell would be a big factor for anyone in any situation LOL. Diane, man, everyone in your household wants to be gettin' it on, eh? Haha!

Jana - Well, at least you got some sleep the night before, eh? Ehh.

Kate - Where the heck are you?!

Did my Christi Happy Hour and am totally ready for a jetlag nap now. Mom was saying that she doesn't want kittens yet because she doesn't want to mess up her new carpet, but my guess is that she's afraid of getting them because it was so awful to experience their passing away. I'm gonna have to work on that. Maybe I'll tell her that I really want the kittens but that I couldn't get them since I'm out of town so much, and could she take care of them for me...hmm.

Oh yeah. It's definitely nap time.

How could I have been so remiss!? I'm very proud of you for doing Basic Step;) :) . I'm glad you liked it. It's one of my personal favorites, but then, that's probably because I can do it--lol! I did it 2 or 3 times while you were gone. I was LMAO at your DVD haul. OMG! Did you need a second bag to transport 'em to Japan? Your suitcase must've weighed a ton.:eek: .

I'm confused. Is your mom in Oregon or Japan? If you're in Japan and she's in Oregon, how will you get the kitties to her? And that Omega Litter box does a good job of containing the odor. The secret to an odor free litter box is to make sure it is scooped, and often, no matter what kind you have. You'll be OK with one box--just keep it scooped out. I have a small trash can, the kind where you have to step on a foot pedal to open it, and that's what I scoop the clumps into. I line it with a plastic bag and once it's full I put it in the garbage can. I don't have any odor issues at all.

I loved the green been on the floor story. That was so "August"--LMAO.

I'm sorry I haven't been around more to give you a proper welcome. I've been busy trying to get everything together so we can leave AT SIX O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING:eek: . I'm not exactly thrilled about this trip but my DH can't wait to get there. Ah well, he's worked hard and he deserves it. Me? I'm just a slacker;)

I'll be back Tuesday sometime. I won't have access to the internet while I'm gone (which reminds me, August. Why don't you get your mom a high speed internet connection instead of a cat:p ) so I won't be able to check in, but I'll be looking forward to reading your posts when I get back.

ETA that I'm not sure about the PM's--if it's tantamount to giving out your email address. I allow PM's and it hasn't been an issue for me at all, but then, maybe people just don't like me--lol!:7 ;( REally, I think the Cathe forums are pretty safe.

ETA one more time that maybe, if you re really worried about it, you can open a separate email account for the Cathe forums? Just a thought.

Sorry the mom thing is a bit confusing. I'm in Tokyo, and I brought mom back with me. She is now renting a place in my building. We would buy cats and litter boxes in Japan. The best thing about this situation is that nobody has to deal with that friggen dialup service x( .

Well, this is going to be such a wonderful, probably much needed break for your husband, and I know you'll find the most fun you can while you're on your trip. Do a sexy shimmy for the man, now, make 'im happy! Woo woo! We'll miss you tons!

I was wondering if you could open another email account that would be just for the Cathe forums? I'm not sure WTH I'm trying to say. You should never ask me stuff like that. I'm old. I don't know nothin 'bout the internet or computers. I'm lucky I figured out how to post in a forum in the first place--lol!

So is your whole fam damily in Japan now? That's must be nice to have everyone near.

Okay, I'm going now. I really need to try to sleep. I'll need to get up by 5 to be ready by 6;(

I have a yahoo account, but Cathe's system wouldn't allow me to use it. I don't know what I'm talking about either. I mean, I can't imagine who I'd want a PM from anyway - except you guys here, in which case you could just ask me to PM you LOL.

Yeah, my immediate family is all here. It's nice not to have to worry about whether Mom is all right all the way over in the States by her lonesome.

Well, I guess I'll take my shower and get ready myself. I'm traveling today, too, but from 6pm. Heh.

Hi ladies - I am starting my new 5 factor diet today and will be going to the grocery store in a little while to get all my new stuff. I am going to post my meals (if y'all don't mind) at least for the first week or so until I get the hang of it.

B: oatmeal with cinnamon and splenda (was supposed to have some berries on it, but haven't been to the store yet)
S: lf cottage cheese and banana
L: chicken breast with brown rice and spinach salad
S: turkey jerky with apple
D: chicken with sweet potato and either salad or veggie

I will be doing my 5 factor workout in a minute. I may do my cardio by walking to a store again - this time I think I am going to walk to Target, which is a little further away.
