I Hate Cardio Check-In - Apr. 19/06

Good morning all!

Okay, okay, so I don't really hate cardio, but I LOVE Michele and she asked me to "guest start" this thread this morning. Besides, it's a good way to boost my post-count;)

So, what are y'all hating today? I'm gonna hate Rhythmic Step tonight:)
 
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Shelley for getting us started. I am so far behind today it ain't funny! I went back to bed after my darlin DH left for work and didn't get up until after 9AM:eek:

Okay, I have BS (that's Basic Step for those of you who may think it stands for Bull Sh*t;) ), and an upper body add on.

How about the rest of you gals?

Glad to have you! You make me laugh all the time so it's nice to have you here!
Cardio already done, 40 mins walk/run (knee injury still happening) and 1/2 of PUB and 1/2 of core max. Short on time.

Where is everyone today?

Dmoney~ what's up sista. How is work going? better yet?

Dana~ how are the boys? any time to squeeze the workouts in between being supermom? Have you gone to bed yet this week? Can I have some cookies too? I loveeee cookies...it has been 7 days since my last one and oh how I miss them...

Char-Char~ where are you hiding?? where oh where can char-char be oh where oh where can she be?

Robin~ We miss you....you must be out doing all your cardio....

Michele~ ummmm.....I know you are out making up for the lost cardio so we will see you in about 4 more hours.

August~ to answer your question from yesterday, weights. I love to lift weights much more than cardio. But since I still have a little baby fat to melt off I have to do cardio. Its only a few lbs, but man oh man it is hard to melt off.

Ok people I have to go DD is hungry. I will be working all day on my school crap, I so hate these classes, they suck.

I'm not doing anything I hate today...challenge circuit and imax blast (you know I love to jump, hop, etc.) I get to pump iron today so I am really happy. Helps too that I got some sleep last night.

Shelley beat me as guest starter. I guess I'll jump in as a guest poster because I love Michele too. I hated IMAX 2 so much that I got up at 3:30 this morning to do it. Now it is out of the way and I can enjoy the rest of the day. Hope you all do to.

Jana, I'm starting to get a little worried about your knee, young lady, from the heart of "soccer mom" territory. I think maybe you shouldn't run until you have it checked..you hear!

Diane, I don't know how you keep with all this work! Were you able to work in that cardio medley? I love that, by the way...cardio medley... I think you should put out a DVD called Diane's Cardio Medley. It would probably be a big hit and then you could quit that day job.

Dana, oh my...cookies AND cake in the same week...I'll be right over--lol! How old will Gabe be? Dh and I got a bike rack for our SUV and it was a very good investment. We have a beautiful bike trail in our county and we love to spend the early morning hours there when it's quiet and there aren't many people around.

August, what's Powerstrike? Is that some kind of kickboxing work out? What do I love? Well, I love cake. Geez, I hope you weren't asking about work outs. I don't think I love ANY work outs :eek: :p . I don't have many of Cathe's DVD's yet. the only advanced one I have is the one with Power Hour, but I haven't done it in AGES! I've been following her Official Beginners Rotation for now.

ETA that it just now registered in my brain that Robin did her work out at 3:30 AM!! Holy Crap!!! I don't know if that's an indication onf cardio lovin or cardio hatin, but it certainly confirms what I already believe...Robin is CRAAAAAAZY!!--lol!:p :D

Hi Everyone -

Sorry I haven't been able to check-in much, I didn't get the computer until 4 pm yesterday. Work has just been crazy. The rest of the week will just be more craziness and into the weekend. I stayed at work until 9 pm last night and so I didn't do my cardio medley. Today's plan is a 30 min run/walk, and I brought my gym bag to work and I am HOPING that I can get out early enough to run at the park after work, or else run at the gym if it is getting dark. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have another late night.

I just can't wait until our school loans are paid off and then I am outta here! Just don't tell my boss.
 
Diane, your secret is safe in here. I hope you can get your walk/run in today, but don;t kill yourself in the process. Take care and have a good one.

Good afternoon haters! Just got back from my walk - it is beautiful today. Although I certainly did not look it. You should've seen my outfit. Today I wore a frilly skirt, a pink shirt and wedge sandals. So I changed shirts (put on an old grubby grey t-shirt) and had on my sneakers but kept my skirt on. What a site! Tonight I know that I won't get anything in. I've got soccer, cookie baking and then after I get the boys ready for bed I"ve got to go to Wal-Mart go buy Gabe something for his b-day. He'll be 5.

Jana, I'm going to have to 2nd Michele's recommendation that you should get your knee checked out. You don't want to make it worse if something is wrong with it.

I think Robin should officially be commited to the looney bin. There is no way a real cardio-hater would get up at 3:30 to workout. Although I don't think she's a real hater - she's just a wanna be! :p

Yeah, Jana, I'm also pretty much at my ideal weight but not my ideal body fat. I'd like to melt off those last few stubborn baby fat pounds too. Well, aside from the fact that I haven't had any children yet and am a full-grown adult. x(

Michele - yes, Powerstrike is a kickboxing workout (obviously since I can't seem to manage any other cardio :eek: ). You know what I love? I love raw brownie mix with a dab of water so that it gets to be like fudge. Years ago I actually really used to snack on that. Man almighty. If I ate that now I'd be in big, big trouble.

LOOK OUT, cardio haters! Someone told Melody you had brownies and she's on her way. Run. Faster! Hee-hee. That's one way to get 'em to do cardio.

O.k., I ain't feeling any love...that is with my workouts. How friggin' long does it take for you to feel like you have the usual energy after donated blood. Gosh, donated last friday, but still feeling not 100% energetic! WTH? I hate to say, but I sucked at doing the blast in Imax today. It was not pretty.
