I Hate Cardio Check-in, 3/23

Good morning cardio haters!

Just in case some of you don't look back to yesterday's thread, I DID do my cardio last night and it pert near killed me. I'm guessing it was because I did it too soon after eating dinner.

My new DVD has yet to arrive so I called Collage yesterday and they said it was mailed on Monday. I'm really hoping it comes today. I'm bound and determined to get my cardio out of the way at a more reasonable hour today. I haven't chosen my workout yet, but it will be one of the longer Leslie's unless, of course, my new one gets here early.

I've already decided that Sunday will be my rest day and I'm planning to weigh myself tomorrow. I haven't weighed in since last Friday and I'm hoping the scales reflect all this friggin cardio.

I am doing plyometrics, squats and I need to run for 30 mins. So far I am having fun doing the plyometrics...haven't knocked down any pictures off the walls yet. I need a IPOD or something for when I run. No music is no good and I can't sing to myself because my singing is bad! I got to do it though, it is only 30 mins.

Hi Charlotte!

Did you get your Imax work out done yesterday?

I have faith in you---yiou can do that run. Don't you even just have a little walkman you can take?

Michele,

Yeah, I got Imax in. My children have the walkman's and they take every last battery out of the house too. They seem to know my hiding places for batteries as well. LOL! I will just run, but I have to keep my mind busy when running so I don't let my tired body get the best of me. What should I think of?

Think of me busting my butt to get my cardio done--LOL!

I would either have to think of something like a dream vacation, or something that really pi$$ed me off. :D

Hi Michele and Charlotte and all of the other cardio haters to follow.

Last night I did 30 min on the elliptical in addition to my walk and also Coremax #2. I had L&G on schedule but didn't feel like doing it. (I WILL do it tonight). So I did my own interval workout on the elliptical. I would do two-three minutes starting at resistance 1 going to 10 (where I thought I was going to die) then when I got to 10 I started back down on the resistance til I got back to 1. Pretty good workout for 30 minutes.

So today will just be a walk. I wish it would get warm already. I am so sick of 30-40.

Michele, what DVD did you order from Collage? Will be back to check if you did your cardio. I'm also going to weigh myself tomorrow morning.

Charolotte, have a fun run today. No more heart-attack symptons, ya hear? We need you here to push us! I need to get new headphones for my walkman. I hate walking with no music.

Dana, that elliptical program sounds fabulous. If there's anything I miss about the gym it's the elliptical trainer. I really want to get one baaaaaad.

Okay, I need to get cracking on the strength portion of my work out. I'll try today. If I don't get to it, I'm holding off until Mondy and start the week fresh.

I ordered Charlene Pricketts Low Impact High Intensity aerobics DVD. I'm just itching for it come already. I ordered it last week and my stuff from collage usually comes pretty quickly so I'm kind of surprised that I haven't gotten it yet.

Today I have an upper body endurance workout at the gym scheduled for my lunch break. I also might throw in some cardio to at least make up a little bit for my indulgences yesterday. I don't know what got into me, I just felt like pigging out. I am going to add some push ups and eccentric chin ups to my upper body routine and see if I can't some day finish the Gym Style Chest pushups and do a couple of chin ups.

I was thinking of getting an Ipod nano this weekend because I am started to get bored when I am running. At least I can watch tv at the gym when I am on the treadmill, but having no entertainment or no Cathe chatter while I am working out is hard. What would be the best is if I could download some songs on the ipod and then every third song throw a little clip of Cathe saying "work work" or "there's no time for down time" or some other Catheisms. I will see if I can figure out how to do that!

O.k. girls, pat me on the back and give me a sugar free cookie or something...I just ran for 30 mins straight, non stop! I am red all over! I feel great. Also picked up some trash that some bums left on the road when I was done.

YOU ARE SO EVIL!!!! Did you not see the topic of this thread? It is I HATE CARDIO not I WANT TO DIE DOING CARDIO. I'd chase you right out of here if I didn't hate running. }(

I just read that you finished HSC. Is your skin green yet? LOL! I am so proud of you...great job!!!!! It seems like I am not as hungry either when I do more cardio. Isn't that nice for a change? LOL!

I didn't do my upper body workout yet today. I was invited to lunch with the group of friends I told you about, so I did that instead. I will TRY to go after work, if I am not here until 8 pm or later. This is why I need to start going to sleep earlier - so I actually wake up to workout!

Good job Michele! I haven't picked up HSC in a little while, but I am not sure if I am up for it yet.

Charlotte - more cardio makes me more hungry, but hard legs workouts are the worst. After Gym Style Legs or Legs & Glutes, I am starving all day.

Hey Girls! I am PROUD of myself. Not only did I do HSC, I did it at like 12:45 PM. I just can't get over myself:eek: .

Yes, Charlotte, I am a little green around the gills. I've had HSC for a loooooong time and have never tried it. I thought I'd give her a go because I've about had enough of Leslie Sansone and HSC isn't all about step. I cannot do a solid step wotk out. Anyway, I may try to do this one 2 or 3 days a week. It will take me forever to get it down pat.

40something...I'm eating chocolate while I watch you kill yourself}( :p

Diane, I hear you about going to sleep earlier. I get to bed late almost every night and then I just can't seem to get enough steam to move it in the morning. It doesn't help that my DH gets home from work very late on Mon, Wed, and Fri. I like to stay up and wait for him. But anyway, we won't kick your butt for missing UB work outs...but you miss cardio and we're on you like white on rice my little chick-a-dee--LOL!
