I Hate Cardio Check-in, 3/21

I'm feeling almost spunky today! That's good because yesterday was a total bust and I have a lot to do to catch up. I haven't decided which cardio I'm doing today but it will be a long one to make up for yesterday.

I have to run for now but I'll check back later. I hope you all have a great day and a great work out---well, as great as cardio can be, right?

Good morning Michele and all you other cardio-haters! Today's workout will be 3.5 mile walk and Cardio and Weights.

What does everyone else have on the agenda?
 
Oh! Dana, you reminded me, I really want to get some weight work in. Boy, I better get a move on. I have major houscleaningmax to do today. I've got company coming tomorrow and my house is a pigsty.

I did my 30 min walk/run after work yesterday at the gym. I was surprised how good it felt...at first. I had increased my running to 5 min running and 2.5 min walking and it seemed easy for the first 20 minutes or so and then after that I almost died.

Anyway, I was supposed to do Musclemax this morning but went to sleep too late to get up early so I will do a full body endurance type workout at the gym during lunch.

I really love this workout!!

Of course I hated the cardio sections (stays true to thread), but they were short and tolerable.
 
I don't have High Step Circuit but I love High Step Challenge. The cardio segments are short and I just modify some of the high impact moves since I don't have enough cardio endurance yet. Maybe some day I will be able to complete all the cardio...

I was luckily able to get out of my office and into the gym during lunch. I did a warm up jog for 10 min (note the cardio add on) and planned a full body endurance workout but only had time for lower body, back adn biceps. I will have to do some chest, tricep and shoulder work tonight, along with some core work.

Wow Diane, cardio ADD ON'S? That's ambitious.

Ellen, I have a High Step DVD, not sure which one, but I haven't done it yet. I'm terrible at step.

Dana, yes, it would be great if I had a housekeeper...and someone to cook and do laundry, too.:D I figure if you're going to dream you may as well dream big!

I am trying to make time for LowMax tonight. We will see. I really want to do something! If it was warmer out, I could just go for a quick run, but it is FREEZING here! UGH!

I will eat now, and then do my cardio later!

Jenn, it's absolutly freezing here, too. It's 27 degrees outside. I keep saying I'm going to do my cardio but I still haven't gotten around to it. I'm going to do it, though....right now...I'm ..I'm going...now..I swear...

Michele - you must do your cardio. Even if it is just a short video. If you start slacking, then we all will.

There's not a lot of tricky step moves in the HS Circuit. More Leg press, and lunges. Small and easy step segments.
 
HELLLLLOOOOO!!!! I did it!!!

Diane, Toasty, Ellen, Melody...I just want to thank you guys for the guilt trip and other tactics you employed to get me to move it. It was really rather effective. I did an hour...well 50 min., of Leslie and I bumped up the intensity by using 3 lb. weights through the whole thing. I am disappointed because I ordered a new aerobics DVD from Collage that was supposed to come today and it didn't. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow. I must say, Leslie is okay but I would like to switch it up a bit.

I'm goiong to prepare my dinner now, grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast cutlets sand a vegetable stir fry.

Thanks again, sincerely. I really did need the extra push;), but that's what this check-in is all about.
