I Hate Cardio Check-in, 3/18

Miss Lee

Cathlete
I'll bet you thought I wasn't going to post this today--Ha ha! Well, truth is, I almost didn't. I took the day off yesterday so I must do something today. I was just pouring over my Leslie's trying to figure out which one I want to go with but I have yet to decide. I'm going to do it later today after my DH leaves. He has a fund raiser to go to tonight and I'm going to do my w/o while he's gone---I swear!

I think I'm taking tomorrow off, though, because I want Sunday to be my rest day. I worked out last Sunday, but that was because I had taken 2 days off in a row and I didn't want to make it 3 for fear I would give up all together.

I woke up with itchy, watery eyes and a stuffy nose this morning so I'll need to shoot some flonase up my nose or I'll never make it through a work out.

Have a great day and a great cardio work out, well, as great as cardio can be, that is:eek:

Michele,

I could not stop sneezing yesterday and I know it is because stuff is starting to bloom, sprout, whatever! LOL! My hubby uses Simply Saline and that works great for him!

Anyhoo, no jumping up and down for me today! LOL! Not sure what other workouts I will get in today. I know I am doing chest/back as I didn't do it yesterday. So looks like you will be doing cardio? Your so friggin' lucky!!! LOL! I think you should do Imax 2 twice!!!!! LOL!

Charlotte~~

Charlotte, I aspire to IMAX! Maybe someday but I would surely die if I did it today--LOL! I am getting a little bored with Leslie, though. I couldn't sleep last night so I was perusing Collage. I found a Charlene Prickett floor aerobics w/o that looked interesting so I ordered it. It should be here by Tuesday.

I swear, every year my seasonal allergies get a little worse. I can barely handle it once people start mowing their lawns. Flonase works really well for me, thank God.

Michele,

I need to get a bigger stepper. So far I am just using the cube size one and I am afraid I am going to sprain my ankle. Maybe I will get it today at Wal Mart? Thinking about it.

OK I put off MuscleMax from Thursday and only did CoreMax on TH. I did MM yesterday (anything to postpone my cardio...)

I am going to go for a run today. I will try for about 3 miles. I am, of course, waiting for the weather to be just right. It was too cold this morning, and now I have to wait until breakfast settles a little...

Good luck with getting your cardio in!
Jenn

Thanks, Michele...however, I opted out of the run and put in BootCamp instead and did just the cardio. It was only about 20 minutes with the warm-up. Then I did the core work and the cool down. I feel good that I did something. The kids still want to go for a run...maybe later?

Whew!! I'm done, finally. I did a 4 mile Leslie Sansone but jogged through most of it to ^ the intensity. Girls, I'm proud to say that I did cardio 6 days this week!

I've been really bad about strength training for several weeks, too. I was going to do a little today but I changed my mind. I think I'll start Monday but I haven't decided how I want to split it up. I'm either going to do 2 full body days, or 1 upper, one lower, and one full body day. We'll see how my enthusiasm holds out--LOL! I actually love weight training, but I don't have a designated work out room and I HATE having to drag everything out then put it all away. I'm so pathetic!

Michele:)

Hi Girls -

I didn't know if there would be a check-in today and finally got around to checking it. Today I did Gym Style Legs. Felt pretty good. Tomorrow is another 30 min walk/run. My hubby is going to join me and we are going to do it at this nice park about 15 min away where a lot of people run. I don't want to get too burned out just running around the neighborhood and our neighborhood track.

So yesterday my husband said that he decided he wanted to run the half marathon with me!!! I am so excited. He had already agreed to run 5Ks with me, but didn't want to do long runs so didn't want to go any further than that. I don't know what changed his mind, maybe just hearing me being excited about it. So I am designing a training program for him where he runs 3 days a week (I will be running 4-5 days a week), with one long run on the weekend. He already runs two days a week for 20 minutes, so I am adding in the long run and lengthening his weekday runs gradually. So excited to have a running partner. I think part of it was just being concerned with me running alone for long periods of time. What a sweetie.

Anyway, I will make sure to check-in earlier tomorrow.

- Diane

Diane, that's fantastic! Oh, I'm so jealous. I can't get my DH to walk with me to save myself. I'd say your husband is a keeper;)

Good job on your work out!

Michele:)
