To tell the truth, this past Monday & Tuesday I slept like a new born, for the first time in a longggggg time. Please Help! This is driving miss daisy crazy, really tho this is bothering me :-( ;( ;(

I know how you feel. I wake up soo early in the morning and I go to bed at midnight or 1, but I don't wake up a lot during the night.

Anyway, my guess is that since you exercise it gives you a lot of energy (well at least it does that for me) and that may cause you to wake up early and several times during the night.

This is just my guess. May be wrong may be right;-)

Good Luck!

So sorry to hear that you have joined the ranks of the Sleepless. Over the last five years, I have struggled with it too. I have tried everything. The only thing I have found that works for me is earplugs. They are a pain at first to get used to but after awhile they have become an addiction. There is something about the quiet which works for me. I cannot hear DH, the tv, the neighbor's dog...nothing except for the alarm clock.

I guess it might be worth a try for you!

Good luck!

Could there be stress related issues in your life? Any anticipated events, good, bad or indifferent... I get that way when I start getting too much on my plate and nothing can get done for weeks...Especially, when it comes to meetings, for me it's class presentations, kids appointments, bills, bill collectors, ect...Most of all my mother-in-law who really gets under my skin...

It could be a number of things going on...

But if all seems good and content, you may want to visit your doctor as there could be some underlying medical problem...

Here's to having peaceful dreams soon...

Carrie;-)

I was having this same problem on and off for the past few months (up until about a week ago). I was so tired all day long, but then waking up every 2 hours during the night. I made three changes and have been sleeping like a log ever since.

1. exercise in the morning not at night

2. stop drinking water a few hours before bedtime (For me personally 8 to 10 glasses of water a day is just too much and makes me get up to go to the bathroom multiple times in the middle of the night)

3. have a small snack before bed

This did the trick for me. Maybe it will help you.

Good Luck!

Teddygirl,

I am so very sorry & I can truly sympathize. I have had trouble sleeping (getting to sleep, waking up several times a night, or waking up about an hour before my alarm & can't get back to sleep) for a couple of years now. I didn't want to take anything so I never have gone to my doctor about it. But recently I found a cure. My DH & I just got a hot tub & we get in it every night right before bed for about 20 or 30 minutes. It has worked wonders for me & I only hope it will last. We've had it for a couple of weeks & I've only had one night that was a problem in that time (woke up several times, restless) but I think it was the first one, if I'm remembering correctly. I don't know if this is even an option for you but maybe a nice bath before bed? Anyway, I'm just very sorry that you're having these problems as I can relate all too well. I wish you better sleep & sweet dreams soon!

Could be all the above. I swear I wake up to every two hours too, its' crazy. And the first thing I do is hit my frig for a snack or open a ice cream bar, its' crazy. I never had this problem before. As far as stress I’m always stressed, bills and bill collector’s, family, X BF who can't except break up blah blah………can't find peace  seems like everyone is trying to take me there, sick and tired of everyone mess :(

At first, I thought that it could be b/c I work out at night, Who knows, But, tonight I am going to buy me a pack of Tylenol PM, its crazy. I have a appointment with my doctor, November is the earliest the receptionist could get me in, but until then I’m going to the health store tomorrow too try too find something natural I can take.

Thank goodness I have Cathe as I mentioned before she's the only one that put a :) :) on my this face. Thanks guys

Kel -- it is so frustrating. I take a hot bubble bath every night and especially after a workout. Lately I have been getting in the bed before 9:00 curling up with my book or either watching one of Cathe's workout DVD or watching a movie. I use to stay up WAY too late but I changed that. And, this morning I was up before my alarm clock went off I final got up to do my workout   ;)

I really wish I had a hot tub tho, but, for now I'll settle for a hot bubble bath ;) :7 You know, this could be a new phase in my life. I will be turning the big 50 in seventeen days :) :) ;-) could this be a 50ish related thang, who knows.

I was at my neighborhood store right next door to me and twins own the store. I happen to mention as we were talking, I told him I was going to be fifty they couldn’t believe it. I had to show my Driver License, really and his daughter just kept saying “get out of here” she must repeated that 5 times until she seen my DL. They thought I was 32 the other thought I was around 35 it was a nice compliment :) Now, when I walk in the store they just shake there heads saying I still can not believe it.

I guess that's what taking care of yourself and exercise will do for ya, huh! No one ever guess my age over 38 thank goodness :p :p Okay enough for now boss is lurking x( Have a great weekend all I'm off Monday YEAH YEAH YEAH

Teddygirl,

Hope you had a nice weekend. I think you could be on to something due to your age. Many of the ladies I work with, we are all between 45 and 51, are having a hard tme sleeping also. We work out, work hard at work, keep pretty stable schedules, etc.

What I do is get up, get a warm glass of milk, add some Ovaltine and can usually get back to sleep. Sometimes I read.

And I too use my hot tub to relax me first.

Hope you figure something out . . .
