I can't walk!

I did all of the calf exercises from Gym Style Legs for the first time on Sunday and I still am having trouble walking on Wednesday! My calves are so tight and sore that I can barely walk, but my legs are fine. Is it possible that I hurt something, or is this normal?

Hi Diane,

I wouldn't worry too much, the same thing happened to me when I did GS Legs for the first time. Man, I have never had such severe DOMS, I could barely walk and it took about 4 days before it got better. I now only do one set of the calve raises instead of two.

If it doesn't get better in a couple days, when you might have hurt something.

Hope that helps
Kristine:)

I would give it another day or two until I worry. Sometimes a new workout or one that you have not done in a while will do this to you. And chances are that if BOTH calves hurt, you aren't injured.

I have GS Legs on the schedule for tonight - yahoo }(

Thanks guys. I was getting a little worried. I have never had DOMS this bad. I just realized that it could also be that my calves were really tired from all jumping and zig zagging in Kickmax and High Step Challenge which I did the days before, and the calf workout in GS Legs just put them over the edge. I will just do one set of calf raises for a while and build up more slowly.

Thanks,
Diane

Keep massaging them and get some Arnica gel (GNC usually has it, some Wal-marts carry it...maybe Target). It should be with the sports creams. The Arnica gel is awesome...really helps alleviate the tightness and sore muscles.
