i am in so much pain

on my right side off and on since tues. i took alieve. is there anything else i can do to alieviate the pain? i know its late so i i might not get a response-midnight!cant sleep

Laura...just know I'm here for you. Maybe you should go to an urgent care clinic. If this has been going on for a couple of days, especially. If it's appendicitis, it will be easy enough to remedy but doesn't need to go unchecked.

I'll check back with you in a few...do you have someone there with you...who can be there for you physically and emotionally?

thanks for responding. a couple years ago i had uti. my temp was above 100,short of breath,and weak. i hope it does not happen again.my family has a past of cancer in kidneys.i am by myself so i will need to wait til tomorrow unless it gets as bad as before. i read that a heating pad might help

Laura...not sure what uti is, but have you ever had kidney stones? Or issues with your appendix? I think you'll feel so much better once you check in with your health care professional. Just to eliminate the worry and fear you may be feeling. Is there someone there with you...or close by?
 
Oh...just saw that you're by yourself. Is there someone you can call though? If you need help throughout the night?

there are many emergency clinics close by. but are closed now.i live 10 min from a hospital. uti=urinary tract infection. i'm going to try and take a shower-sweat from work

If it's that much pain, please get it checked out. If it turns out to be nothing, okay, so great, but if it turns out to be something, you might really make things worse by not seeking help. At the very least, they can give you something more effective for the pain.
 
Go see your doctor - NOW, if you haven't already! You just never know! Not trying to scare you, but if it's something simple, then you get on some meds and deal until resolved. It could be something that requires immediately attention, too. Get there!
 
Hey Laura...how are you feeling today? We're all waiting to hear if the doctor's visit went ok...and how you're doing.
 
i saw doc today. i wont know for a couple of days if things are ok. she gave me some perscription pills-nitrofurantn.so far,no pain.thanks!
