it will be out first time there. We are going to stay at the Polynesian resort but have no idea on what activities to do. My kids are 6,4 and 16 months old. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Go online to www.passporter.com and purchase a passporter. It's a planner that gives you EVERY possible thing you can do in Disney and you can write down your itinerary and it has folder pockets to hold tickets for the airlines, etc. It's a great tool for planning your vacation and keeping everything in order! You can also search the site...there are message boards on it specifically geared towards talking about Disney and I'm sure you could get tons of info that way too!

HTH!:)

You are going to have so much fun!! We've been there twice with the kids, and I went to the library, where they have an assortment of books titled, "Disney with Kids" (or something like that)--I found these books to be incredibly helpful--they go through all the age-appropriate activities for kids.

We just did this in April. My kids are 7,5 & 2 years old. We had so much fun. I called a certain number to make reservations for breakfast with the characters, dinner at the castle, luau (sp?) at the Polynesian, etc. The Polynesian will know the number. We also did the Hoop De Doo Review. My two older kids were laughing so hard, but it was over my little guy's head. Do you have daughters? If so, you have to do a meal with the princessses. I tried to get a reservation at Epcot, but it was completely booked up. I guess all of the princesses are there. We did have dinner with "Cinderella and friends" at the Grand Floridian. We also had lunch at the castle. We were early and guess who comes walking down the stairs, Cinderella. My daughter got her own private photo shoot. She was on cloud nine!

We made a few early reservations at Magic Kingdom, so we were already in the park when it opened. Also, they do an early admission to the park for people staying at the monorail resorts. That was really worth it to get up. No lines!:) My kids finally got to go on Dumbo. I don't know what it is about that ride, that line is always so long.

Also, you can get Fast Passes to go on certain rides, but you can only get one Fast Pass at a time. We did the whole Fantasy Land that way. We stood in one line while we had a Fast Pass for another ride. You'll need your room key for each person in order to do the FP.

Oh yeah, if you stay for the Spectra Magic parade(replaced the Electric parade) people start lining up on Main Street at 6P. We had my in-laws with us and my sister, so we staked out our spot and got the kids out of the stroller. That night we rented a double stroller besides the umbrella stroller I brought from home. My kids and niece had the best seats in the house. People are rude, rude, rude though. Some adults were trying to sit in front of my children. They didn't stay there long though!}(

Can you tell how excited I am for you?! Sorry, if I went overboard with the info, but there's so much to see and do in such a short amount of time. I can't wait to plan the next trip.

That's great. You'll have a wondreful time. Everyone I know that has gone w/ their little ones says it's the best time. Good for you.:) Kali

I don't have any ideas for you, but I want to wish you a great time! I went when I was six and have such great memories of it! Your kids will be in heaven and so will you when you see the light in their faces when they see their favorite characters!

I live in Orlando and I can tell you that you picked one of the most ideal times to go to Disney World. The weather in October and November is fabulous with the humidity being much lower than average. Average temperatures are about 80 degrees and mostly sunny. The lines are absolutely minimal. Therefore, you will not spending most of your times waiting in line....and, if you do, you won't be suffocating in the humidity.

You will have a great time :)

I just wanted to chime in and say 'I am sooooo jealous'. I want to go so bad (I have never been there). I would also like to take my kids too. LOL! :p Have a great time and be sure to tell how the trip went when you get back.

Oh yeah, get autograph books. The sell them there, but maybe you could get them before you leave to save a little money. I can't remember how much they cost there, but it seems like everything is waaaayyy to expensive. Anyway, my kids still look at the autographs. My two year old wouldn't leave Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. Well, he didn't want to leave any of the characters, but I remember the Incredibles the most because the line was so long! That was at MGM Studios.

There's a lagoon show every night that lasts about 15 minutes. That was fun to see one night (it's the same light up show every night). When we stayed at the Polynesian, several years ago, we had a better view than our view at the Grand Floridian this last time.

Hope you got through for your reservations!
