hummus recipe

I wanted to make my own homemade hummus because I never really like what they have in the stores. Does anyone have a simple recipe? I looked on the internet and some recipes are as simple as garbanzo beans and a garlic clove with salt and pepper, and some have a lot of other spices. Also, how long does homemade hummus keep in the fridge?

Thanks!

I don't have a recipe for you - sorry. Just wanted to know what is hummus exactly. I've never had it and was curious.
