how to use ctx

i thought i'd ask for some advice here.

i just ordered the ctx series and was wondering how people used the weight portion. i have 4ds, and i use the weights as a 3 or 4ds. i have gym styles and use that as a 3ds. i use the pyramids as a 2 day. is ctx alone sufficient, or do people add body parts onto other strength work? thanks for any help - much appreciated.
 
When I do a CTX rotation, I use it as is. I used it a couple years ago after I'd been less focused and not working out very hard. I did the work outs as produced for 4 weeks and saw significant strength and stamina gains. You can do them in any order, just don't do Leaner Legs and Power Circuit on consecutive days.

CTX is great! I think it's one of Cathe's best series. Have fun with it.

I think it depends on what level you are at right now. If you are using gym styles, you are probably intermediate or advanced, so you may not like doing CTX for 4 weeks at a time.

For CTX, I usually double up the weights portions like she suggests in the intro portion and do it for one week before moving on to a different series. So, instead of just doing chest, I also do back on the chest day. Then on on the back day, I also do chest. That makes it so you work each body part twice during the week.
 
thanks very much to both of you. i will try each body part twice a week initially. i did a 4 week rotation of the 4ds followed by 3 weeks of pyramids then 4 of gymstyles. i tend to match cathe for weights, going heavier on shoulders though.
