? How to turn mushy into tight.

This question may have been answered a thousand times on here but I need some help. I don't want to look any smaller but need to turn some of parts that are soft and mushy to tighten up. How do I do that without losing weight and looking smaller? My stomach has a slight pooch and I want to lose it but not lose so much fat that I look too small. I am 5/8 and 150pds and that is where I want to stay, maybe 145-150. I hope I haven't made this sound confusing. I am limited to certain cardio right now and I lift weights, but eating isn't so good. Could my diet be an important part of this?

Thanks for any advice!

Your diet is a VERY important part. You say you lift weights- how heavy do you lift? How long have you been working out?

Hey amy,

I have been working out for about 6 years. I stopped for a bout a year and gained alot of weight. But lost alot in 2001. I've had a injury and haven't recovered so I can't do very high intensity cardio. Well the answer to your question is that I only work with dumbbells and not barbell. The heaviest I lift is around 20# and I do Cathe exclusively. I used to eat very clean, but lost alot of weight and looked sickly. I probably should eat right huh? I am just confused on how much calories I need to take in. I'm sorry I am getting off my original question, I guess I want to lose the mush and stay a healthy size.
