How many x's did it take you

How many times/days did it take you to learn the step up stuff. I keep on having to play/rewind back/play/rewind back to learn. Getting frustrated because I hate cardio, but I really want to learn how to do it also.

Depends on the workout. Some I get right off the bat with no rewinding. Like Cathe's Low Impact Step. Others take 5 or more times like the recent 4DS step workouts.

Which workout(s) are you having issues with?

I agree, it depends on which workout that you are trying to do. If you are new to step Basic Step/Body Fusion is a good place to start. It teaches alot of the basic step moves and moves at a pace that is easier to learn. The other thing is do what you are doing. Just keep on rewinding and play it back. I still do that with some DVDs. Good luck!

ITA it depends on the workout. lucky for you though cathe has the step basics/body fusion and low impact step routines. those were not released when i first tried cathe. i did have karen voight which at the time was also complicated but i kept trying cathe until i got it, rewind, repeat, rewind repeat even watched while i was doing housework, studided the moves etc LOL.

You mean the "Step" or the "High Step"?

As for how long it took to master stepping: I started years ago, with some basic step workouts like Kathy Smith. I learned the basic moves, and how to follow mirror cuing (all the stuff you take for granted after you learn it!), then went on to more advanced workouts.

me?
oh man. Even to get the 'easier' choreography...umpteem gazillion times, at the least.

But, it's worth sticking in there.....although so many times I thought I'd never get it. I'm still working on some.

Hang in there!
