I have been reading and reading books and articles on weight lifting and body building, but cannot find an answer. How many pounds of muscle can a medium build woman put on, lifting 5 days per week, on average?
I remember someone telling me a couple of years ago that no one could put on more than 6-8 pounds of muscle PER YEAR. I can't remember where I heard that, but I remember it.
Now that I am NOT losing any weight on the scale, I am trying to figure out why. I KNOW that I have not added 2 pounds of muscle per week, so I am trying to figure out why I am not losing even 1/2 pound of fat per week with clean eating and working out.
If anyone knows the answer to this, I would really appreciate it.
I would also just like to know how much each person here has added on a personal level. The answer doesn't have to be scientific. Just an "educated guess".
