have already or are going to find out the gender of your child before the baby is born?
i want to however dh doesn't...;o(

Oh, I am...FOR SURE!

I think my husband would rather be suprised too, but he knows me too well. And, he is great with it either way. I am so excited to find out...

I am another one to find out! DH and I found out about DS last time and vowed not to tell any other family members. At least that was our plan until we kept call the baby he. It would just slip out and we could not stick to it. So much for keeping a big secret from the family.

We decided to find out. Since this is our first baby, we figured that there will be plenty of surprises on the delivery day. So finding out the gender half way through was like spreading the surprises out. That said, there is a chance that we may wait the second time around but I don't know if i could take the suspense!

By the way, we are having a girl! She will be the third generation of 1st born women!

At first DH didn't want to know so even though I wanted to know, we had agreed not to find out but when the time came, he told the sonogram tech that he wanted to know! :D

Have a great work out!

I really don't want to know. It's great for those that do but for me it's just one of life's little surprises that I want to wait for. I just hope that as the time gets closer I won't change my mind.

Yes, I intend to find out, if possible. I figure there's enough surprises happening at the time of birth that I don't need another one on top of it LOL! And it makes planning a bit easier. We knew our first child was going to be a girl, so didn't spend much time thinking about boys' names, or dealing with the thorny issue of circumcision. I also was able to start calling her by the name we were going to give her, while she was still gestating, and that seemed to help make her more real to us. I think it will help us prepare our first child for a sibling if we can begin talking about her new baby brother or sister that is going to be born. She's already told me she doesn't want a brother, so if it's going to be a boy, we better start preparing her as soon as possible!

Cheers,
Sandra

Yes I would like to know. When I was pregnant w/my son we found out we were having a boy so everything that I received at my shower was blue or for a boy (trucks, cars, tools, etc). So if we are having a girl this time I will need to buy things for a little girl. If we're having a boy, we'll be set for quite awhile with boys clothing.

Not pregnant yet (trying really hard!) but since DH and I are only doing this once, we do not want to find out.

I am not sure what all the surprises are that you guys are talking about since I have never been there but I want that wonderful surprise of "It's a Girl" or "It's a Boy". I can not imagine a better one!

We do not live near family and pretty much keep to ourselves so I doubt I will have any showers at all. We will just get whatever we need right away in greens and yellows and then go from there. Oh, I can't wait!

I found out with my first one but not with the second or third. It was SO MUCH more exciting not knowing until delivery!!!! My husband was the one who didn't want to find out--I would have been too impatient. It was so exciting to finally find out at the delivery!
