How long after lifting?

Hi Cathe, I was just wondering if you knew how long after lifting should you get something to your muscles, whether it's food or a protein drink? I thought I had read it once somewhere but now I can't recall what was said. Also, if its not food, say it's a drink how long after that should you wait before you actually eat? I know the muscles need to be fed. Thanks
 
Hi Mic! I personally like to get a protein drink into my muscles as soon as possible after a heavy lift and carbs in my system asap after a high intensity cardio session.
