Hi! I am still waiting for the new DVDs to arrive. Can't wait. For those who have gotten theirs, how do the new workouts compare? Are they as hard as Cathe's Hardcore (Imax3) or are they more along the lines of say, DrillMax. Thanks!

Kristen

On preview, Boot Camp is a lot like DM and maybe a little harder because the cardio is non-stop, with little rest. There's a Boot Camp circuit workout that is probably similiar to DM. I don't think any of them compare to IMAX 3 though, because these cardios are so much shorter, and the step workouts didn't look like intervals to me.

I tried Higher Intensity Step and Boot Camp this morning. I admit that I didn't watch either first like Cathe tells us to. I had trouble with the choreography in the step workout. I don't usually and so thought I could just jump into it. Consequently I didn't feel like I was getting a good workout. So that's when I put in Boot Camp. It was really fun and doable. Not as hard as Imax3 in my opinion. I don't have Drill Max.

I did HIS this morning and the intensity is not as high as an Imax, imo, but I was breathing heavier in a more comfortable way, so I would guess it more moderate than any other of her cardios. The emphasis seems to be more on the choreography in this workout, and the intensity is built in, but you never find yourself doing power 15's for 3 minutes, or anything repetitive like that.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the posts. I received my DVDs the other and have watched all the workouts. In my opinion, they don't seem as challenging as the Imax(s), but what is! ??? Anywho, I still LOVE these workouts. I have a weekly schedule that will incorporate these. I have a lot of Cathe tapes being utilized, so these will add to the mix. I have a good mixture of high and medium intensity cardio, as well as heavy & light weight work. I have mentioned this in other forums, I will always be partial to K,P,C Drillmax and Imax3. K,P,C was my first ever Cathe workout and DrillMax/Imax 3 combo was what got me hooked on Cathe last year. Anyways, thanks again. Hope everyone else is enjoying their new Cathe too!!

Hi Kristen,

Actually, I find the Boot Camp workout to be way more challenging than any of the IMAX videos.

I can't say anyting about the Higher Intensity Step because I am still on the learning curve on the Lower Intensity Step.

I think different people's bodies respond differently to workouts.

My nemesis are drills. My goodness, the Boot Camp just keeps on going.

It is a very intense yet time efficient workout!

:)

I think the new Bootcamp is the hardest of the 4DS. I was dying. I think it is much harder than Drill Max. It's not a circuit workout either so there's no time for a cardio "break" with weights. Even when doing the "drills only" from DM, I still think BC is much more difficult.

I am really enjoying this new series. I am exhausted from doing workouts like the Imax's that just beat my body up. There's too much of a dread factor lately and I am not enjoying them. This new series is intense and fun without the dread factor. I don't feel totally beat when I'm done like I do with a lot of Cathe's other cardio workouts. This series is a fresh of breath air for me.
