How do I join in on the weekly check-in?

How do I join in to be part of the weekly check-in? Does each member just post weekly what they have done? What day of the week do you post on? I have just found out I am pregnant. I am just 4 weeks along. This is my second. I have a daughter who is five and beginning kindergarten next week!

Also, I have tried to add the Lilypie ticker into my profile and am having trouble. Any suggestions?

Hi Rachel,

Welcome and congrats! So many members are due soon so it's great when new members join!

I don't think there's any more to joining the check-in than just posting when you see the pregnant women's thread (which comes under various names--this week it's got "rounded belly" in the title). That's all I did! It's a great way to stay motivated to report what you did all week and to seek support when you hit an obstacle.

My advice for the Lilypie ticker is to copy and paste the second option from the Lilypie website--the one for "pseudo HTML." It's the one that starts with "url=http://lilypie.com ..." Just copy that into your signature, which you can get to under "user menu" and then "edit your profile."

Welcome to the pregnancy forum!! Congratulations on your pregnancy! If you're four weeks along, does that make you due next April or so?

I also have a 5 year old daughter starting kindergarten on Sept 1. She's very excited. And I'm expecting my second in about 4 weeks.

Like Monica said, just join in on the check in whenever you want. Someone usually starts it on Saturday or Sunday, but it's informal, and whoever gets around to it first starts it. I look forward to reading your posts and hearing how your pregnancy progresses.

I am due April 26th. I am really looking forward to working out during this pregnancy as I did not at all during my last. I have been working out for approx a year and half and really want to continue. Looking forward to becoming part of this group!

Hi Rachel, I am so happy for you! I recently found out that I am pregnant too! I recently e-mailed you back when I had a question about whether I could still lose weight during the first trimester...at that time we found out that we had alot in common and you told me that your week to conceive was July 4th weekend. Well It must have been successful!!! I took a home pregnancy test on Aug. 2nd and it was positive. I haven't exercised for about 4 weeks now. We took a three week vacation to Calif. and that is where I learned I was pregnant. A week later I began getting some nausea and I haven't had the energy or desire to workout. Anyways, I am so happy for you and hope to hear from you on this site. I don't know when I will attempt to work out but hopefully soon. I'm assuming that I am about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant but am scheduled to see my doctor on Aug. 30. I'll know more then.

Actually our July 4th attempt was not successful but our August 3rd one was! I am due on April 26th but my first appt is not until Sept 30th. We are not sure when to tell people but we are going to Disney on Sept 15th and I need to come up with an excuse of why I can't ride some of the rides. Sounds like you might be a month further along than me.

I took a two week break from exercising. In the last week I have begun running again and doing weight work outs with Cathe's DVD's. I ordered her new DVD's. I thought they would be perfect to use while pregnant as they will be easier than her advanced workouts.

I will be posting weekly to the check-in.
