At the top of the screen there are several tabs. Workout Manager is the 4th tab over.

The smileys should be at the bottom of your screen when you are posting to a forum.

And I see the smilies at the bottom, but those are for the subject line, not the body of the post, I think, right?

To use smilies, go to your User CP (upper left hand link). Then choose Edit Options from the list on the left. Scroll all the way to the bottom and change your editor from Basic to Standard or Enhanced. Then you'll see the similies on the right hand side of the text box.
