I can't even remember what we called ourselves....Brains and Brawn or something along those lines.
I am just curious how the summer has gone for you all in that area. I was attempting the Faulkner set with Oprah, but got a bit sidetracked. I made it through As I Lay Dying and 1/2 way through Light In August. I loved them, but I just never had the time it took to read a book that forces me to think about it so much. Not casual light easy reads that's for sure. I work best under pressure so actually as the summer winds down I know I will crank them out. Especially because we have The Kite Runner coming up!
The only other book I can report on is The Mermaid Chair. I have squeezed that one in because I have to actually finish something before school starts so I don't feel like an utter failure. LOVE IT!! When I grow up
I want to write like that woman! She has the most amazing style, and writes things that I have thought, but never thought to write. I loved The Secret Life of Bees as well, and highly recommend these to anyone on the fence.
