Hot roller pins?

I bought a 20 roller curlcare by conair. They are blue velvet rollers and they get hot by plugging it into an outlet. I think I might be loosing my mind because I can't figure out for the life of me, how to put the pins in to keep my hair from unrolling. I'm at my wits end.}( I bought this at a second hand store, took it home, cleaned and disinfected it and now ready to use it. Can anyone please help me.x(

I feel like such an idiot. If you can, could you use pictures to explain this to me? If not that's OK too.

I think these are the same ones I have...I stick the pin in from over the top going down (toward my scalp) at a slight angle to keep it in (hope that makes sense)!

OMG! I knew it would be simple. Daaaaa.

Thank you so much.:7 I spent an hour trying to figure it out.x(

Now I have to ask just so I don't feel so bad. Did you ever try to figure something out that was so easy and couldn't, or am I loosing it all together? I have to know that I'm not the only one.
