Wow! I came home to find a letter from my healthcare provider saying that starting in January, through a wellness fund, they will reimburse 50 percent of the cost of home exercise equipment!! That list specifically includes videos :).

The problem, however, is that I am getting medicine balls and a weight vest for Christmas - and they aren't going back! I am going to have to think on how to spend this, since after my husband's hockey fees I have $200. Uh, Cathe, any chance you are coming out with more workouts in 2003??

Wow, Rose!

You have a marvelous healthcare provider; one who trully understands how important exercise is to good health! I know some health insurance companies do contribute to certain health clubs but to reimburse even in part, for home exercise equipment is just tremendous! I'm sure you'll find plenty of goodies, er, I mean, home exercise equipment to buy in 2003!!!:)

Will you tell us who it is?

I am a member of Kaiser (a regional HMO that's in California and some other states) and I sure wish they would do this. I have to pay almost 300 dollars a month for Kaiser.

Goodness, I would be able to get a few bucks!

It is Health Design Plus. They recently started this thing where if you fill out a health evaluation form, you get $250 to put into this fund to use ($500 for couples if both fill it out) for fitness or health things like club memberships, classes, etc. This is the second year they've done it, and the first to reimburse anything used at home. They do have a line in the information that you have to specifically describe the video. No problem!

It's through my husband's work (a large oil company).
