home conception kit

Hi,

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant with #6 for two years. I feel like I'm running out of time, I'm 40 years old and don't know what the next step should be. Has anyone been succesful with the home conception kits? Thanks!

Hi. I'm using ovulation kits right now, to try to learn more about my body. I thought I was pretty good at interpreting my cervical mucous,...but we've been trying for #4 for almost 3 years (had a m/c this summer). So, in short,...not successful yet,...we'll see.

I have found that Clearblue makes a smiley face ovulation kits that are easy to interpret (the regular ones are hard to read). There's also a Clearblue fertility monitor that detects two hormones (regular ones detect just FSH)...but it runs about $150 for monitor alone.

I also used the Clearblue kit to get pregnant last year.
Worked the very time I got a smiley face! We just had sex both the day of the smiley, and they day after, since the kits can detect the LH surge 24-36 hrs before it happens.
