OMG!!! I did Cathe's C&W yesterday but for "fun" decided to use the Bosu for the ab workout! What WAS I thinking?!?!:eek: Oweeeeee! Anybody else get a similar "clever" idea!! Gonna have Abs DOMS tomorrow in addition to today!

i love using my BOSU for abs. in fact, there are some of the exercises that I prefer to use it instead of falling off the stability ball! LOL! i def love using the BOSU for the ab exercise where you lie on your side and lift. i just don't feel that working on the ground, but I do on the BOSU.

if I had 2 BOSU's I would use them to land on for the butt kicks...the pounding on my feet hurts on the flooring I have.

My bosu is currently collecting dust but doing abs on it is definitely an extra challenge!!! Thanks for the idea! I have been heavy into ab work lately and liking the results. Adding in the bosu could up the ante and keep me from getting bored so that I keep doing it and the results keep coming! :)

If my house was on fire and the firefighters had time to remove something it would be my BOSU'S....Ab's, legs, back....you name it the variety and range the BOSU offers is second to none! Maybe another one will be on my Xmass list again this year!
Belly down X hovers are my fav today....rest over BOSU and form an x...lifting from the low back lift your arms and legs and hover as if you just jumped out of a plane with a parachute on your back. Stay up about five seconds then f
fully release back over ball! Great to stretch and strengthen the low back!

Ok, ever since this thread started, I have been trying to resist getting one. But now I am caving (doesn't take much :p). Where is the best place to buy one? Are they all the same? Target carrys them from 99.00. Or I could order direct from Bosu for 99.00 & free shipping. They also have a more expensive new and improved one (should I spring for that?) For those who have them, where did you get them and are they good quality?? Thank you!:)

I have been seriously contemplating getting rid of mine until reading this thread.

I bought mine from Play It Again Sports (it was a second hand one) for $50. It is very good quality and was barely used. I wasn't sure how much I would use one so I was reluctant to pay full price for a brand new one. I bought it primarily to help improve balance and strengthen my knee, but rarely ever use it. My kids, on the other hand, think it is the coolest thing ever!:p

After reading this thread I need to use it for my abs.

THANKS!

Julie

Wow Julie...that was close!!! Get rid of your BOSU??? WHAT??? Tell your kids Mama needs some BOSU time and to leave it and you in peace while you do some awesome training!! It can reach muscles you didn't even know where there...really!! (Lie over it sideways, ribcage centered on the bullseye, arms stretched overhead by your ears, legs resting on the floor and slowly do side crunches...fight having your torso rotate forward or back...just amazing!!)

I ordered mine from the company as they had not only the DVD but great exercise charts to provide a quick reference and spark the imagination.

Have fun!

That made me laugh! :D

I actually did some ab work yesterday (side crunches like Cathe does and those X hovers you posted the other day) in addition to Kick, Punch and Crunch. I woke up this morning with a stiff back and then I remembered using the BOSU! Wow, they really worked me! Have to see how I can get one of those charts. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm definitely holding onto it.;)
