I had previously posted that my kids wanted to join a gym and I was reluctant since I loved my videos. Well, we found a phenomenal gym and the next thing I know I've hired a pt. I made her job really easy by bringing in a binder filled with my motivational pictures, my daily Fitday log, and spreadsheets for cardio and weights. I planned out a 3 day split already (chest/back, arms/back, legs). She totally approved of everything. So basically I'm just hiring her to keep me motivated and spot me so I can lift heavy. Our question here is cardio. I've been reading all kinds of different boards and its awfully confusing.....one theory is the HIIT 3x/week (like BFL) and that fat loss is all diet not cardio. Too much cardio cannabalizes your muscle. The other theory (and one it seems CAthe adheres to) is lots of cardio to lose fat. This is the theory I'm more inclined to go with. Plus I've lost my great cardio endurance and would like to build it back up to Imax 3 levels and HIIT just wouldnt cut it. So we settled for 3x/HIIT and 2x/regular type cardio and will reevaluate.
