Hi guys,
I am out of the hospital after three days. The nurses and docs said I was their "star patient". I was up and walking all over the place on day 2. Thank god I am good shape going into this surgery!
The hip replacement surgery went well, but yep, it hurts like hell. I am walking with a walker, and do my first session with my physical therapist today. My lower body is so swollen-I actually have those "child-bearing hips" going on. It should only last a few weeks thank god. And I have to wear these Teds hose, they are thigh high white stockings-ugh. But they prevent blood clots.
They have me on Lortabs, an antibiotic and Tramadol for the next few months, and even though I hate painkillers, believe me, they have their rightful place. I am sleepy most of the time and my appetite is nonexistent, have been eating melons and tomato soup with saltines.
I miss posting and talking to others here on the the forums, so I will be lurking and posting when I have the energy
Oh, I love the newer pics on the blog, how exciting to see the new outfits (I actually like the simplicity of them)the navy blue are my faves. I cannot wait until I heal and am able to really workout with Cathe and the girls again. As it stands, I cannot even ride a stationary bike until week 5. Patience, patience.:7
All my best to you all. Have a great workout week.
