High Step Question!

Would you recommend buying a high step with the Cathe workout DVD's if your knees crack a lot (and you are afraid of damaging the knees over time!)?

I am assuming that the high step is high impact, and someone that is afraid of knee pain or injury should not purchase it.

Thank you so much for your help in advance!

The high step is not used for impact/cardio workouts. It typically goes up to 14 inches and is used for weight work, like leg presses... see some of Cathe's DVD previews for examples.

last year for my b-day my mom got me the high step package with all the high step dvds. the high step challenge is pretty high impact but doesnt alway use step aerobics. high step training advanced uses the step for all the cardio segments but with simple moves so you can elimnate the jumps if that bothers your knees. high step circuit has a little impact but its mostly lower and could also be modified down. i think in the video cedie does them on just the platform whle others use one or two risers. just lke the regular step you can use the 4' platform or add that with a 2' riser for 6'.

but high step training does have alot of leg presses and i am not sure if tht aggravates your knees any. they don't for me but everybody is different. you can always use a lower platform for this as well and do them or do another standing leg exercise that doesn't bother your knees so much.

the only issue i had with these videos was the DOMS in my bum the next day LOL.
