Ok I just saw another Amy Bento post but I wanted to ask a ? about this particular DVD. I did it for the first time today. First time doing an Amy w/out as well. I have a whole lot of difficulty following her, not because of the breakdowns but because of how she switched sides in it. It wasn't like Cathe where she does left so that she will be with you. Am I explaining this right? Anyway it seemed like Amy would do it on her right which I was able to follow by doing left side first however it seemed like half way through she started teaching the other way! Did I notice correctly or am I just confused? LOL. I am gonna give it a few more times before I say I don't like it. It's just different. Ok sorry this was long.

I, personally, am not a fan of this workout. Although in my opinion I do think it's the best of Amy's offerings, I did not like it at all. I was confused just like you were--her cueing was pretty off.

Edited to say I actually think Advanced Step Challenge is her best workout, not this one. This is a good workout once you've done it enough times to forget about her cueing and memorize what's coming next.

I love this workout. I've done it 4-5 times & still don't quite have the choreography down yet, & I definitely have space issues (when she does that shuffle/box thing I have to keep going side to side, there's no way I'm making a box without banging into a variety of walls, furniture & stair rails).

But it's high intensity & I think she's a pretty good instructor. I really like having another option to Cathe that's close to her intensity level.

Try KBX too--yeah her form isn't quite there yet & the sequencing is a little sloppy but it's a lot of fun & a good, tough, sweaty workout.

Don't give up on this workout, it gets better the more you do it. I think I know the part you mean, it does seem that she is cueing one side and doing another, but I can't say that I noticed her doing that for more than one small section.

I really like HLX, KBX, and ASC as well. There was more of a learning curve with these because of the no breakdown and more complex choreography, but I love that for a change. It's worth learning in my opnion!

I don't recall the cuing one side, but doing the other, but there is one segment that made me really annoyed with her, where she just out of nowhere links on a new sequence.

I don't mind instructors who don't break down moves, but I DO mind when instructors don't cue well enough so you can follow what they are doing as they are doing it.
