I, too, have been trying to do pull ups/chin ups. And, I too, feel very discouraged. Maybe, we should have a daily check in. I feel as though I will never be able to do one from a hanging position. They seem so darn hard. I feel so strong until I try one. I have been working on them but I guess I'm not working on them hard enough. Tonight I took some of Cathe's and your suggestions. I'm going to keep on trying!

Hi Joanne! I am in the same boat as you. I read on the Ask Cathe Forum how many Cathe said she can do and really felt like "What am I doing wrong that I even can't do ONE?" I have in the past been able to do everything Cathe does on her videos (with the exception of the Levitation move. I am still convinced my arms are too short for THAT move! Ha!) I did do Briee's suggestion about the "cheat" method where you jump up and come down slowly. I did 5 of those today and even thought they were tough, I did them! Have you tried them? I'd like to say I'll join you on the check-in but not sure I will be able to pop in daily. I am thinking of doing them every other day and see where I get. Good Luck! We WILL do one before the New year! Ha!

Yes, Debbie, join in on the check-in (and anyone else). And, that is a good idea to to them every other day. You sound EXACTLY like me. I also did the cheat method today too. Maybe, we will even be able to do one before the 4th of July :)

Hi Joanne! So glad you want to join the chin-up check-in! Debbie suggested we post every other day starting Wed, which sounds like a plan to me. Sound good to you? How often do you plan on doing them?
