Just a quickie here to say Hi and to say I've missed being around here. Life has been crazy! I had my 30th. class reunion this past weekend and my twin sis flew in from Florida to join in on the fun. It was a major BLAST! I had sooo much fun. We kicked off the weekend with a football game. It was my alma mater's Homecoming that night. Guess who we played? The school my kids graduated from! That was a hoot. I didn't spend much time watching the game to be honset. I was too excited to see everyone! After the game, everyone went out to a local restaurant/pub that we had reserved a room at. We got home about 2:30 in the morning. The following evening we had our big shindig at an Elk's Lodge. That was when the fun really began. I was too excited to even eat even though we hads tons of great food. It is amazing that you can be away from some of your old friends for thirty years but after talking with them for five minutes, it all seems the same. We had 130 show up out of a class of 315. I thought everyone looked great. Yeah, some of us had gained a little weight, lost a little hair, had some wrinkles, but all in all, everyone had such a good heart! It was a wonderful feeling to leave after Saturday nights festivities and know that I still had tons of friends from way back. All us women decided that we don't want to wait another 5 years to see each other at a reunion, so one of the gals is planning a 50th. Birthday party for us in the next year or two since all of us will be 50 around the same time. I would encourage any of you to go if you have a reunion planned anytime soon. Fun, Fun night!!!!! It feels good to be back here too with my newer FRIENDS!

I was wondering where you were! Glad you had such a good time. My 20th reunion will be coming up next year so I may just have to fly to PA for that.

BTW, is your twin as much of a fitness fanatic as you? ;-)

Great!!! Great..:D. In the final analysis, isn't really the people you meet and connect to along the way that counts????

Lorrie~(My baby sis's name!!! She's 41:7) Thank you so much for the Welcome back! I missed being here. You need to take the time to go and see all your old friends! I hope it will be as fun for you. No, neither of my sisters exercise. I do worry about them as we have "heart" history in my family. They both work and have two children each, but I wish they could squeeze it in somewhere. Both my sis's live down in Florida with you! Wave Hi to them for me!

Yes! FRIENDS are the BEST!!! I feel like I just picked up with a few of them I haven't seen in thirty years right where we left off! It was so neat. My classes are going great! Thanks for asking. The students have been very supportive and encouraging about the routines and the music and the workouts in general. My instructors have some very nice classes going with great feedback also. I'm sooo glad I finally got the courage to JUST DO IT! Thanks for all your support along the way. It meant so much to me.

Hi Debbie, I see you around these forums all the time and have come to admire you from all that I have read. I wondered if you wouldn't mind answering a couple of questions for me. I see you teach - I am planning on taking the ACE certification exam in February with a view toward teaching kickboxing. What are you certified in and with whom? I recently started "teaching" a kickboxing class to my sister and a friend -- they think it's great and it's giving me a bit of confidence for when I actually do take the test and become a "real" teacher, but I wondered how you learned how to choose music and timing and length of class, etc.. My sis says I'm "mean" and my "class" is much tougher than the kickbox class we took last year at Adult Ed (actually my inspiration to get certified -- I thought the teacher was fabulous... AND she turned me on to Cathe -- 'nuff said!). Any advice you can lend would be SO SO appreciated. Thanks and also -- great to hear about your reunion. I've got my 20th coming up next year and have been toying w/the idea of going -- if they can even find me! HA! Thanks again, Kathleen

It's funny, I was just sitting & staring at the wall last night & letting my mind drift...one of the things it landed on was, "Where's Debbie? I haven't seen her smiley face waving at me lately??" So glad to see you back, this forum is never the same without you.
Glad to hear your classes are going well, I was sure they would.
What fun to have a class reunion! I've always enjoyed them very much. It's a real hoot to see some of your old friends sometimes!
How's Kennedy? I am still waiting oh so patiently for new pics!
