I put chocolate in my oatmeal this morning.

I added some vanilla extract, dried cherries, walnuts, and agave nectar, and then I threw in about a tablespoon of dark chocolate chips.

BTW, what kind of chocolate do you put in your oatmeal, and how much? Do you put anything else in it?

I use nestle's mini chocolate chips (about a tablespoon full) and Whey Low

I've been using Whey low for several years. It's very close to sugar in texture and taste. I use it to bake too.
I'll throw in some chopped walnuts

If I'm cutting/ counting calories, I use a tablespoon of sugar free/fat free chocolate pudding in my oatmeal. It's only 30 cals:)

I view my chocolate oatmeal as a treat for the day. It certainly tastes like it! If I'm fighting really bad cravings and feel like I'm going to lose control, I go for the chocolate oatmeal.;) I would much rather have an extra serving of the oats than an oreo cookie:eek:

Figure Athlete forum recommends trying raw oats with chocolate soy milk or chocolate Hoods Calorie Countdown milk- cold. They say you'll reach for cold oats more often than warm. Apparently it's that good. I'm haven't tried it. I love melting the chocolate in the warm:)

I add chocolate protein powder & 1 Tablespoon of Naturally More PB to my oatmeal. I think it tastes like a PB cup!! :D
 
Count me in as a lover of dark chocolate chips on the top of oatmeal!!

Other combos I love on oatmeal:

bananas and a drizzle of sugar-free maple syrup (sometimes walnuts too!)

Chopped apple and cinnamon & SF maple syrup

Strawberries & dark chocolate chips

 
Do you make your own oatmeal or you use the pre-made ones?

I use 1/2 c. old fashioned oatmeal & add 1 cup of water to make it. Cook for about 2 min in the micro, then add 1/2 scoop choc. protein powder + 1 T. NM PB. I also add 1 T. flax, 1 T. wheat germ, and some cottage cheese, but I'm weird. :p
