I am really getting interested in all this hype about HIIT and was wondering what kind of results you all have seen so far. are you lifting heavy like suggested? I really want to lean out my body and am hoping this will do the trick. I also read that the abs diet has the same concept as well as the fityummymummy book. I figure if they all are saying it, then people must be getting good results from it. I would love to spend less time and gain better results working out if possible. please share your results and thoughts with us. thanks!

Hi Laura,
We have a check in going on here on Cathe's website. It's a daily thread that several of us BFLers post too. You're more than welcome to come by and join us. :)

Kathy G

P.S. I'm in week 6 and have lost 5 lbs. and some bodyfat. I'm doing the BFL weight workouts and mostly running for cardio. I'm really finding this plan enjoyable and easy to do. HTH.

Hi Laura - I am getting great results from the BFL plan. I am lifting heavy, heavier than I ever thought I could. And I'm sticking to the 20 minutes HIIT 3x a week. The diet itself is fantastic. I haven't felt deprived at all. I'm eating better than I ever have.

I see Kathy G. already told you about the BFL check-in. {{{WAVES HI TO KATHY}}}! Pop on over and check it out. Alot of us post our meals and workouts daily. You'll get some great ideas. I just finished up week 6 and I've lost 9.2lbs so far.

Im starting my 6th week in BFL and ive lost 2 3/4 inches and 8.2 pds , its just fantastic!

I also lift heavy and do the HIIT three times a wk!

And the BFL checkin is fabolous! Great bunch of gals:)

thanks ladies. a friend of mine has the book and is going to let me borrow it. I will have to let you all know what I end of doing and the results I get. by the way, you all have gotten great results so far ,keep up the great work!

Hey, Laura. You've already gotten some responses, and I was also going to suggest our BFL daily check in to you!

I'm in my 2nd challenge, week 7 and doing well. My first challenge KICKED BUTT! Let me just tell you that! LOL I got EXCELLENT results and LOVED it. I did the BFL program TO A T and made just minor changes/modifications to it. This 2nd challenge is going well, but I have to admit that I've slipped a bit in my eating, which is NOW UNDER CONTROL AGAIN and I'm ready to kick the next 6 weeks in the butt!

Come on over to the BFL side, girl! You'll LOVE IT!

And this self-proclaimed cardio junkie says HIIT WORKS!

Gayle

thanks gayle. I have been snooping on occasion on the check in. I really hope I can sstick with it. the eating part is my hardest thing to do. I have no will power. but I was also concerned about the less cardio and what kind of results I would see. my body is stubborn so I am hoping this will kick it for me. thanks again.

Hi everyone,

I have been going back and forth on should I or shouldn't I do BFL. I did it once, lasted 10 weeks and lost some weight but never have gone back to the program.

Do any of you use DVDs for the workouts? I can do the HIIT with no problem. I was thinking the Pyramid DVDs.

Rhonda

Rhonda-I alternate between 'prescribed' BFL weight pyramids and PUB/PLB. In fact, I just did PLB yesterday. As for HIIT, I use iTreads, IMax (any of them), LIC cardio premix, and Low Max. It's a nice way to get the BFL workouts in and get my Cathe fix all at once! LOL Really, though, if you want my HONEST input.....it's mostly about the eating. I'd say 75/25. YES...the intense workouts are important. And YES....so is the clean eating, but it's the CONSISTANT combination of BOTH that will get you results.

Gayle

thanks Gayle,

I also posted in the check-in.

Eating seems to always be the main thing. I will have to pull out the BFL book again and skim through those chapters. we also have the EFL cookbook so I think that will help also.
