Help

Cathlete
I bought the new work outs and only 1 of the 4 works on my dvd player. I emailed Cathe support and they said it couldn't be the disc because it did work on my computer. I have 77 other Cathe discs that do work on that dvd player. It displays on player- unknown disc. Is there any one who can help. I really don't want to buy another dvd player.

Problem with new DVDs

What you need to do is test on another player to make sure, but the chances of getting three defective discs are about the same as getting hit by lighting. Still, testing on a different player will tell you and us if the problem is the disc or the DVD player. I see you already played the discs successfully on your computer and this shows there really isn't anything wrong with the discs. Playing on another DVD player should rule out any other possibilities.

One of the problems with adding premixes and advanced features to a DVD is that it can cause problems with a few players. Usually, these problems will be minor and only affect the playing of some of the premixes, but in other cases more severe problems can result. I'm not saying this is what is causing your problem as there really isn't any way to know and your problem could also be caused from many other factors. For instance, your players lens may just need to be cleaned, but unfortunately it isn't possible for us to really give you a definite answer.

Thank you for your quick response but I was hoping someone else has had this problem and solved it. That's why I posted in open forum. I don't want to replace my dvd player and laptop just because the disc can play on my computer. Since I do have 77 discs of Cathe's that do work I just won't buy any new wo until my dvd player dies.

I would try to burn copies of the discs using Nero or some other program. There are different settings on different programs, but try any option that says "finalize disc" or similar. That usually helps discs play on dvd players instead of just on computer drives.

I don't know that it will work, but it is the only thing I can think of that might create a disc that is readable by your machine.

A professionally produced DVD should really work on any player, so it's really strange that this happened.

I would definitely try to play them on another DVD player and see if you have the same issue.
