help with premixes

I got some great advice on this forum about ordering the
Kickbox DVD for my workouts after my hand surgery. I do not understand the premixes....( I have been a vhs girl). Are there many different workouts to choose from, like you can mix and match? I totally love the Body Blast, Kickbox tape (and all the others) and am planning on using it but if I can use a dvd to get more variety...well then I am sold.

Can someone explain how this works?

Thank so much!

Karen

Hi Karen, Im going to paste a link of the premixes to KPC so you can get an idea of what they are. For example Cathe took KPC and L&G and made up some workout putting these 2 workouts together. I think their is over 20 premixes on this DVD. And also she use just the KPC making up some premixes with different workouts and also the L&G. So any of the DVD with the 2 workouts are mix up together or one of the videos are mix up to make it longer or shorter.

Premixes are pre-mixed workouts using parts from one or both workouts on the DVD. You can usually tell by the title what they involve. For example on the Pyramids DVD there are pyramid up only premixes for both upper and lower and pyramid down only for both and a bonus combo with pyramid up of both UB and LB minus the floor work. The premixes and bonus combos make it like getting extra workouts for the same money.

The Body Blast series also has a workout blender where you can select a few chapters and make your own workout. I haven't used it much because the premixes are great and the blender doesn't hold enough chapters in my opinion to create a full workout.

If you are torn between DVD and VHS let me push you towards DVD. Not only do you get the premixes, bonus combos, and workout blender, but you also have a fairly indestructable media compared to a video that will eventually wear out. Apart from breaking or scratching the DVD, it will last forever most likely. I have never gotten a bad DVD from Cathe and none of them have ever "gone bad".

Karen,
I started out with video's also, but QUICKLY invested in a DVD player and DVD's! Even without premixes...which her newer ones have more and more of...if you get a 5 disc DVD player you can make up so many workouts it's not even funny. Check out the costs of DVD players b/c I remember that mine was not badly priced at all. There is a website that explains what to look for in a DVD player for workouts. I will try to locate that and pass it on to you. Let us know what you decide!
