Help with healing scars...

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any advice about healing or fading of scars...older ones. I had a c-section but I'm more concerned about a dark scar on my knee that happened at the end of my last trimester. I fell and caught myself on both hands but skinned my knees. One healed fine, you can barely see it. But the other is a dark circle that looks a lot like dirt!! Now that it's summer I find myself feeling self conscious about it and not baring my legs, which is a bummer b/c they're are in pretty good shape now. :-(

I'm trying Bio-oil...something I found at Bed Bath and Beyond and had never heard of before -- it's not that expensive. I rub it on twice a day. I've been putting on my c-section scar too. I think it's working...a little. Funny, coincidentally I just saw a commercial for Bio oil on TV!

Anyway, does anyone have experience fading a scar that's 7 months old? My scar isn't raised it's just dark and looks like a bruise or dirt (seriously).

I'd love any helpful hints on how to make it fade.

Thanks!!!
Steph

no idea here. Just noticed you hadn't gotten any replies.
Maybe post in Open discussion and someone can give you some ideas?

For current booboos/scar prevention my hard-working hubby slathers on Neosporin and he never scars.
