Help me stop melting my energy bars!

August

Cathlete
I keep energy bars in my bag that I carry on my shoulder, so that the bars are ultimately between my torso and arm. By the time I get to eating them, they are almost always half melted and glued onto the wrapper. x(

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to keep them from melting...or how to gracefully suck it off the wrapper? :*

I keep some in the fridge ready to take on the go. So by the time I am ready to eat, they are perfect!

ROTFLMAO!!

August, aren't you supposed to be in bed?

What about a small, insulated container? they sell all kinds of them around here. I'll do a search for you and post some options later on, but for now, get to bed, young lady!

If jooge's idea isn't quite enough, could you store them in the freezer? Maybe then they'd stay cold enough until you are ready to eat them. I don't believe I've ever seen anyone suck a wrapper gracefully, so I have no advice there. :)

Now, I just had to laugh at that statement! LOL!:7

Hi, and thanks for the responses. (I did go to sleep right after I posted, like a good girl, Michele!)

Actually, there's no telling when I eat (or suck up) the energy bar, so although freezing it is a great solution, I usually only whip the thing out when I'm in a situation where I can't get to real food. Oftentimes this is when I'm at work and am with other people. As if whipping out a bar isn't bad enough in a meeting, you can imagine how laughable it is to have to gnaw at the wrapper to actually eat it. :*

Hmm. Putting it in a hard container. I wonder if that might work.

Good morning August!

My thought is that keeping it in a small, hard container will create a barrier between the bar and your body heat. It's worth a try, at least.
