LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-01 AT 11:52PM (Est)[p]After spending 3 months trying (unsuccessfully) to nurse what I thought was a pulled muscle/rib/irritated nerve affecting my back and hip joint, I finally saw my doctor (what a concept :-rollen). I'm scheduled for tests but he believes I have two separate problems; kidney stones (yikes!!!!) and perhaps a bone spur on my hip joint. He's been a great doctor for several years, cautious and thorough, so I feel good about the care I'm getting. He's referred me to PT and I'll have an ultra sound, x-rays, blood tests, yada, yada, yada.
I've been so lucky with my health this is new to me. Do you have any suggestions for how to approach this? After I left his office I went to the PT office to set up my evaluation and saw many machines that I recognize from the gym, but also some Pilates-looking devices. I'm supposed to do PT twice a week for 8 weeks.
Educated crowd - help!
