Help--Good scrunch gel for wavy hair?

Biteset

Cathlete
I usually let my hair air dry after washing. If it dries overnight, I wake up with great waves. If it dries while I'm upright doing stuff, I think gravity pulls out the waves. I'm looking for a hair product to help those waves form, and be soft and defined. Not too frizzy, not too crunchy, not too goopy...

Any suggestions? I've tried some of those "curl/wave activating" mousses and gels, and am not getting results. I don't really want to shop around buying and trying out all sorts of different products 'cause that's a waste of time and money plus a pain in the butt.

One I used to like was Aussie Scrunch Spray, but now it bothers me. It smells too strong and I find it too stiff and sticky.

I hope I don't have to start using a blow dryer...I just don't feel like it. x(

Thanks!

Sorry, I have no recommendations.
I just thought it was ironic that you posted this thread right after posting about Sanjaya! LOL!

Actually, you might want to try Aveda humectant pomade.

I have straightish, chin length hair but can get it wavy using two products by hairdresser recommended. Graham Webb's "Making Waves" hair gel (quarter sized amount first) and then Sebastians "Molding Mub" (dime size amount). I do use a diffuzer on my hair dryer to get it pouffier, but I think it would dry fine and look good.

It doesn't feel crunchy when it's dry but it is a little sticky while putting it on.

HTH!
