help! bruising/veins?

hello everyone. any input would be greatly appreciated as i am slightly horrified this am.

for the last week i have felt a throbbing on my bikini line, left side worse than right. dh noticied what looked like bruising. the feeling comes and goes, usually worse after standing a lot. i started to notice a subtle swelling a few days ago, but this morning it is really present (no pitting edema, just slight swelling), and the bruising/discoloration is spreading up and out. it is not painful this morning but will throb i am sure during the day. anyone had anything like this? i go to the dr tomorrow and don't want to be an alarmest, but not only is it ugly, it is embarrassing.

Morris, these may be vericose veins. I not only have them on my leg but on my thigh and above. These are common during pregnancy.

do yours throb ever? what do you do then? i think they must be veins too, but it is kind of weird as i thought i'd get them lower.

Morris, do a search of vericose veins during pregnancy on the internet. The ones on my thigh and above(if you get my drift) felt sore at first. I actually iced them. I don't know if I am used to them or what but they no longer bother me. Check with your doctor but vericose veins on the thighs, legs and vaginal region are common during pregnancy.
