Help?? A few questions

Cathlete
I'm so excited. I've order the MIC DVD, the MIS DVD and I did a preorder on one of Cathe's DVD's. Now I'm getting ready to incorporate the new workouts in with my old ones.

I am currently doing the following rotation:

M: POWER STEP (Kathy Smith) + ABS
T: FiRM STRENGTH OR FIRM CARDIO
W: TAEBO + ABS
Th: FIRM STRENGTH OR CARDIO
F: Power Step + Abs
S: Pilates

Anyone want to make some suggestions on working in my new workouts with these? I need to lose some fat, my stomach and my thighs are my problems, but I do realize you can't spot reduce, so it is cardio, cardio, cardio!! Should I try to up the cardio??

One of the reasons for the new DVD's is that I think I need to work in an interval workout. I'm not one for exercising out side. I know it appeals to some, but I just can't get the motivation to leave the house to exercise. So, I think I should incorporate IMAX. And, don't worry, I do realize that I will most likely have to work up to these tapes, but I don't mind rewinding and working on them until I master them and build up my endurance.

In the past 4 months I have had some success. I have gone from a size 10 (tight) to a comfortable 8. I do, however, have a lot of fat to still get lose. (Having a baby at 41 doesn't help the midsection!!)

Thanks for any and all help you can provide. I find you all very inspiring!!

Also, any motivational tips you can supply would be great!!! Trying to stay motivated is difficult (especially when your only time to exercise is 4:30 a.m.!! Always tempting to push that SNOOZE button!! : ) WIth 3 teenagers and a 1 1/2 year old, I have very little ME time!! Thanks again!

I work out at 5:00 a.m. I set upo my step and weights the night before and go to sleep in my workout clothes. All I do is turn the light on, put my socks and shoes on, brush my teeth and go! As far as a rotation, I would suggest starting with half of MIC. Do the step portion one day and the hi/lo portion the next day. Each of these halves contains an interval section. Once you can do each half without dying (perhaps you are already cardiovascularly fit to do this) then give Imax a go. Are you more interested in strength or endurance? I would suggest doing the following:
Mon. Step workout
Tue. MIS lower body and Body Max step section only + abs
Wed. MIS upper body only
Thu. Half of MIC
Fri. Other half of MIC + Ab workout
Sat. MIS (all of it)
Each of the weekday workouts is about an hour. Sat. is a little longer. Do this for awhile and see how your body responds. Are you losing fat? Are you gaining muscle and definition? Then tweak it from there. And have fun with your new videos!

I'm actually interested in both endurance and strength.

Thank you for replying! I will try out your rotation suggestion. I am so looking forward to my new dvds and should have them today. I may be able to start this rotation on Monday. It is sooooo time for a change of pace!! I will plan to do this rotation for at least 4 weeks and see where I am from there.

My next dvd purchase will be the CTX series and the double DVD pack (That has cardio kicks which I'm psyched to try).

Thanks again for your recommendations!!
