Hedonists FRIDAY !!! Feb 2

Hey, Friday is here! And it's Groundhog Day to boot. One of my favorite holidays. We had a party at work where I was crowned Ms. Groundhog 2007 and given a FURRY CROWN! We had stew with lots of veggies, homemade bread, cornbread, spinach dip, cherry pie and my cupcakes. It was great. I think we are finally going to get to the Finger Lakes. My cold is better and I think I'll be able to taste. We'll leave tomarrow morning and be back Sunday evening in time for the Super Bowl. I'm trying a new recipe for dinner tonight from Gourmet magazine - Pan fried Flank steak with mushroom ragout. Looks good and easy. With a nice bottle of Cab Franc. Hope you are all enjoying your Groundhog Day and have wonderful weekend plans.

That flank steak sounds excellent! And thank heavens you are over your cold. Was it the Chianti that cured you?? Have a great time at the Finger Lakes wineries and taste a few for us!

Did Drill Max this afternoon - great workout. Had a huge salad with pears, avocado, tomatoes and sunflower seeds. And a glass of Regnie. Mmmmm good.

Have been in hibernation here...as temps were sub zero today...glad that Phil didn't see his shadow today so maybe I can come out of my hidey hole!!

Robin, I can think of no one more deserving than you to receive a furry hat as a crown!
