The Polar USA website http://www.polarusa.com is useful. It suggests models based upon your exercise focus and allows you to compare features. One problem with Polar is their repair and battery replacement policy. The minimum is $60 - that's a lot of money for a new battery. On the other hand, the quality is great & the battery does last for several years.

Also check www.roadrunnersports.com. They don't offer a wide selection but you can compare Polar to other brands.

I'm a big fan of Polar but just bought a knock-off from Performance Bikes. It's their house brand, it had the features I wanted at a great price. They guarantee it for life. You can check their website.

Features I like in a monitor are average heart rate; time below, in, & above training zone; and the ability to program my own training zone. A backlight is nice for Spinning classes which usually are taught with low lighting.

Your english is great. I wish I could respond in Spanish.

Hey...

If you run, you might want to check out this:

Pricey, but man does it look COOL!! Actually, I already have a Polar HRM and a TIMEX GPS system, so spending the money for both combined, for me, just can't be justified (DARNIT!!:)

The GPS is SO COOL, if you are a runner. I don't wear it all the time, but it tells you how far you went and how fast you are going (for example 5 mph) at all times!!! It will give you averages and even has an alarm to set for intervals and things like that. Check it out! You will spend close to 100 bucks on a HRM alone and this new gadget is the newest thing out there for runners!
