Good Wednesday Morning Ladies :D

Really busy around here today...hate starting the day off rushing around like an idiot.x(

B= two eggs, tea
S=smoothie (left overs from yesterday's smoothie)
L= Vegetable loaded salad with a portion of grilled chicken breast.
S= nuts, pistachios and almonds
D= thinking fish right now...

Did Power Circuit back workout with 40# yesterday and today back feels like cast iron, yeah baby! I don't usually go that heavy but lately not feeling all that challenged. I develop muscle easily so I don't like to lift any heavy weights for fear of over-defining but after yesterday I definitely have to go heavier on the back work.

Today is CTX Kickbox and want to do CTX All Step this afternoon...I just loathe All Step though. It's too boring for me.

Good Morning 40, ladies to follow:
I am so jealous! one of these days soon I will be able to lift 40#!

Yesterday went well, although I did have a few bites of wild rice at dinner and I try to cut carbs out most of the time at night.

Today will not be too good, hubby is cooking his spaghetti again.
He gets offended if I eat something else so I just eat lots of salad and little spaghetti. Does anyone else have this problem? I mean I certainly don't want to discourage him from cooking dinner! But his idea of eating healthy and mine are WAY different.

Here's today's plan:

B - mixed cereal, lofat milk
s - either yogurt or apple
L - Turkey sandwich
S - protein bar
D - Spaghetti, salad
S - If my back feels good and I lift weights I will have a protein shake after.

I guess I will call this my "carb overload" day LOL.
Hope you ladies all have a fantastic Wednesday.
Keep it real.

Oh Paula, hang in there with the back issues. :)

After I had my back injury, I couldn't even mow our lawn with the rider because the constant jiggling just killed me. I couldn't stand to ride a horse or a bike...let alone even think about lifting my barbell empty of weights. Doing a push up just from my knees sent pain shooting all through my rib cage. I've come a long way from those days. But that is why I really focus on keeping my back muscles strong...I'm not getting any younger and I hate to think what my back problems will be when I'm 70something.

Ewwww...that's frightening to see that in print...70something!

Howdy, everyone!

I'm feeling kind of excited about maybe switching to vegan, but I still have some thinking and reading to do. In the meantime, I'm just going to try to clean things up a little at a time.

Today:
B - PB on ww bread, lf yogurt, oj
S - orange
L - hummus on a bed of mixed greens (actually a salad)
S - another orange. I just grabbed a couple on the way out
D - Rice and blackeyed peas with seasoned tomatoes. Bread, but I'm going to try to avoid the butter. May or may not add Parmesan cheese, depending on my mood.

Hello, hello!

I'm feeling moderately better today. Stomach is still a bit iffy.

B - cereal with banana and soy milk
S - some plain crackers and an apple
L - not sure.... has to be something fairly bland
S - some oatmeal with raisins
D - don't have a clue:)

Your salad sounds good, Shannon:)

Thanks for the encouragement 40 something!
This is my second injury (or maybe flare up from the first injury) since November.
I just found some back exercises put out by 2 physical therapists. You do a self assesment, and then do stretching/strengthing exercise specific to your condition. I have been doing them for 2 days and hoping for the best. They do seem to help.

Hi :7
This is my last day to post this week. (out of towm) But I will be thinking of this thread as I make my choicers.
Judy "Likes2bfit"

Paula- good luck wit hthe new back exercises
Shelly- glad to see you are slowly re entering the food chain
Shannon- the vegan choice intrigues me too. But I'm not ready to commit. right now the no meat is a good step for DD and I. I could probably give up eggs too. We are eating less of them. Thankfully we like beans and lentils! Soy is a challenge for us though.

Today-
B- hot oat bran cereal / soy milk
S- 2 clementines
L- white bean soup~~ kinda like veggie chili with okra, peppers onions tomatoes and fresh cilantro & spices
S- ff yogurt & one piece fruit
D- possibly tortellini for DS's request but I may have Whole wheat pasta instead with pan roasted broccoli and cauliflower and a 'titch of olive oil& garlic

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.
Success is acheived by early preparation

Hey Shelley - glad you're feeling well enough to eat something. That bug sure is hanging around, isn't it? Yes, I'm looking forward to lunch. I"m hungry enough to eat it right now, but I will restrain myself.

Shannon - I think I got off pretty light. Usually when I get a stomach thing like this, I end up in the hospital on an IV because I get so severely dehydrated, and then I'm down for about a week. Both times that's happened, I've lost 12 lbs in a week.

Hi ladies.

B: wheat toast, ff ham (Thank God I only have like 4 pieces of this left, I am so sick of it)
S: oatmeal
L: leftover turkey meatloaf, squash, green beans, roasted red potatoes
D: venison burger on a lite roll, the rest of the roasted peppers and beans

I feel like crap - got the same cold that my kids' have so I don't think I"ll work out. I may do 30 minutes on the elliptical if I get time.

Holy cow! I guess you are feeling pretty lucky, then. Go drink some water or chicken broth or something. ;-)
