Healthy Fruit Salad

I have been tasked with bringing many dishes this Thanksgiving. One in particular is giving me stress. I am looking for a healthy fruit salad recipe without walnuts and without cool whip. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

You can use pecans and Vegenaise (which I think is delicious...if you like mayo).

I found another recipe here:

1 8oz. whole soy yogurt, plain
5-6 strawberries chopped
1 Fuji apple chopped
handful of blueberries
1 tablespoon roasted sunflower seeds

I bet regular yogurt would tast fine...maybe use the low fat version to make it more healthy? This isn't my recipe but I would add more fruit.

Melissa, I just posted a suggestion in the <--- thread but I'll repeat it here.

I would simply chop up a variety of fruits like apples, oranges, pears, pink grapefruit, grapes (maybe freeze them to add texture), kiwis, bananas (add right before serving), and pineapple to add sweetness. You could also add berries if you find some that are nice. The acid from the citrus fruits should be enough to prevent the apples from browning.

To add a touch of elegance, you could pour flavored, sparkling water over each serving and top with toasted coconut.

HTH:)

My stepmother used to just chop up a bunch of fruits (apples, bananas, pineapple, grapes) then top them with a mixture of pinapple juice and honey (the acid in the pineapple helps keep the apples and bananas from browning) and sprinkle with some shredded cocoanut.

Thanks everybody! You have given me some wonderful advice! Now I am ready to prepare! :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all,
