I just wanted this RIGHT NEXT TO Tete's post.......}(
My cousin wanted to go visit her daughter, who's at GWU. She made reservations at the Mandarin Oriental! I told her there was no way I could afford it & she said don't worry about it, she was going & paying for the room anyway.
She also scheduled deep tissue massages for us Saturday morning. I am so looking forward to this! I've never had one & I've heard they're fabulous. She told me it was my b'day/Hanukah/Xmas gift for the next 5 years.
I think she doesn't want to go alone & will feel more secure (plus have more fun) if I'm with her, so she's willing to shell out the big bucks.
I'm driving since I know the area pretty well, & I'm paying for gas. I can handle my own meals I think. I just can't believe I'm staying at a 5 star hotel & being pampered like this! After all the crap of the last year or so (ugly breakup, some serious health problems and, of course, losing Cosmo) I think it'll be just what the doctor ordered.
