Hi everyone,
I am having oral surgery on Thursday morning (UGH!!!!x( ). I've had the procedure before so know what to expect with regard to pain level and recovery time. What I need help with is food suggestions and some recipes. Here are my food rules.
1) it must be soft food that requires no to very little chewing (oatmeal is about as much as I can chew).
2) food can not contain very small seeds or bits (think strawberry seeds or broccoli bits).
3) I am not allowed to use a straw. It must be drank or placed into my mouth.
It will be at least 10 days of this. I need food ideas and suggestions. I have protein powder for shakes and to put into soups and oatmeal. I also have yogurt, cottage cheese, pudding, ice cream, applesauce, jello, and various fluids. What happens is that I wind up dropping a lot of weight (last time I had this done I dropped 8 pouunds in 2 weeks) and I completely lose my energy and get rundown. I'm trying to find enough variety with enough nutrients to counter both of these things.
Thanks so much for the help!
