Having a hard time getting back to working out

Every week I set up a shedule and tell myself I'll stick to it. Then the week comes and I maybe do two workouts and that it.
Last weekend I did Weights Only premix for BC and didn't even finish that. I come home from work and I'm sooo tired (mentally tired) that I just want to lay on the couch.

Any suggestions on how to beat this?

Perseverance! Don't beat yourself up for only doing 2 workouts a week. Start slow. Maybe three workouts a week 30 minutes each workout. Watch what you eat. Your energy level will end up getting better and you'll have more motivation. I think the reason why people beat themselves up all the time is that we tend to set our goals so high and when we don't follow every single goal we consider ourselves failures and just give up. I know not a lot of people may agree with this but I believe that something is always better than nothing. I had myself scheduled for a hard 2 hour work out yesterday but like you was not motivated, so I just took a 2 mile jog and did a 45 minute workout. I also ate really clean that day. Good luck. Hang in there. Oh one other thing that helps is just put your workout clothes on and your shoes. Sometimes when your dressed for excersize your more motivated to do it.

I've been feeling this way lately too so I'm curious to see what others say. The other night I did Imax 2 and had to push myself all the way through it and it was NOT my best workout. I never got into it and just wanted it to end already. I beat myself up a lot though because I used to just LOVE working out and felt great while exercising. Now its like I am never in the mood anymore and it always feels like a chore. What happened I ask? I seem to have lost my motivation

Variety helps too. Maybe if you join a class locally. Kickboxing, or step aerobics. For me it helps to have someone to have to check in with. It is so hard to be accountable to myself. Another thing I wanted to say is find something that you find is fun. I just signed up for fencing classes.
