Have you ever been sore for no reason?

I did my usual leg routine on Wed night & I was so sore yesterday! I can't figure out why--maybe I was using better form than I normally do? Or maybe I was tired & hadn't eaten right b/c I was working so many hours?

I thought it was strange & was wondering if anyone else has this happen?
 
My amount of soreness from a workout is in direct correlation to my mindset during the workout. If I am fully focused on the workout then my form is better and I end up sore. If I am in a distracted by other thoughts then my form suffers and I am usually not sore at all. Funny how that works!:)
 
I'm wondering if there's a physiological reason, b/c this doesn't happen to me anymore unless I miss a week or two of exercise.

Where's Kathryn when you need her? :p
 
Did you drink enough water? Just wondering if not enough hydration would result in a greater build-up of lactic acid. Maybe?
 
Did you do something different the day before (maybe a new step workout?). That could have prefatigued your legs.

Did you do more reps? I find that higher-rep workouts give me more DOMS than do lower reps ones (case in point: I've had MAJOR DOMS from Barry's Bootcamp lower body the last couple of days).

Did you workout later than usual, meaning that there was less time (and less other movement) between workout time and going to bed?
 
Nope, everything was exactly the same--same reps, same time of day, & actually a little extra sleep the night before.

Hmmm guess it's just another one of life's little mysteries......:p
