Morning Haters. I'm waiting for DH to get back from his new tire shopping spree before finalizing my packing and hitting the road. I wish you all were going to be there. August, have fun with your company. Michele, have fun with your nephew. Shelley, have fun with Sophie. Diane, have fun with Ella. Becky, have fun with the roofers. Dana, have fun with Ralphie. Jen, have fun with the Jeep. Gotta go. See you on Sunday evening.

Good morning!!

Robin -- I hope you have the time of your life on the RT!! You drive carefully, young lady, and post if you can when you get there:* :*

Jen, I'm so sorry your kitty had a bad dental experience! I've heard bad stories like that but I've personally never witnessed anything like that. My kitty did just fine with it -- no problems at all. He was a little groggy for the rest of the day but that's about it. It's hard to know what the right answer is.

Dental hygiene is so important for house pets. Oral infections from decaying teeth and gingivitis can spread to the heart and brain, conditions which are life threatening. If you can brush your cats teeth everyday you can probably avoid any major oral infections. You can also try a dry food that is specially formulated to clean teeth -- it can't be just any dry food -- it has to be one that is meant to clean teeth. I think Science Diet or Iams may have something, although you might need a prescription for it -- I can't remember. Your vet should have information about it. I can't use dry food for my cat -- he eats canned only for his urinary health.

Arista - I just realized that I misread your post. I thought you gained weight:eek: . Well, congratulations on your weight LOSS!! I'm so sorry -- just chalk it up to old age;( :p . I'm so glad you've come back:)

Diane - I'm ROTFLMAO at your kitty. You should set up a video camera and try to record the deed -- LMAO!!

Augie - is your company here yet!? I hope you're having a blast:*

I'm taking my IL's and nephew out to lunch today so I need to skedaddle. I may not be around much over the weekend because we're having a birthday party for my nephew tomorrow, and then we're taking him back to his parents on Sunday.

Dana, Jennifer, Becky, and everyone else, have a wonderful weekend. I'll BBL if at all possible :*

Edited to correct typos;) :p

Good morning all,

Robin - Oooh, the road trip!!! Have fun!! Post some pics when you get back. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Michelle - No worries, my weight fluctuates so much that I probably have gained weight since I've lost it! LOL And the way I complain about it, you'd think I was constantly gaining it. :p

My cat recently had two of his teeth pulled in the front and a teeth cleaning and he was groggy a bit, but didn't get sick. He's about six years old. He seems to be in a much better mood now and is more affectionate towards us. I try to brush my dogs teeth twice a week (when I remember), but my cats wouldn't have it. I let them lick this toothpaste off my finger though that supposedly help reduce plaque buildup because of the enzymes in it. Couldn't hurt, I guess, right?

Jen - Hello!! I hope you're enjoying every minute of that AC... I saw your (new to me) kitty pics on picturetrail. They're BEAUTIFUL cats. I want to get a new kitty for my birthday this month - we'll see if Ryan and I can agree on that.

August - Hello!! Post some squirrel pics, please! Hope you're enjoying your company.

Dana - OMG, that bulldog is ADORABLE!! Almost as cute as your kids. :p I'm glad the mites went away. Yuck.

Becky and anyone I may have missed - Have a wonderful weekend! I'm off to get some exercise... maybe Supersets?

:D

Arista! Well it's good to see someone around here this morning! I keep signing out and logging back in -- LMAO! After reading your post I looked back over yesterday's thread and OMG! I missed Dana's post yesterday:eek:

Dana, those boys of yours are ADORABLE. I love the picture of them with Ralphie:+ . That's great news about Ralphie, by the way. I hope his hair grows back soon.

Arista, yeah, my cat was in a much better mood after his dental, too, I think because his mouth felt so much better. I'm not sure if just licking toothpaste off your finger will work or not but it's worth a try. I tried to brush Johnny's teeth -- it was too hard and he was pretty unhappy about it ;) . Now my dogs were the complete opposite -- they LOVED having their teeth brushed. Well, probably what they really loved was the poultry flavored toothpaste -- LMAO!!

Oh! I have to go. I haven't had a shower yet and I'm meeting family in about an hour. Bye for now.:*

Hi ladies -

I finished a draft of my big project yesterday!!! *HAPPY DANCE* It was over 70 pages long. Turned it into my boss and she said she is too busy to look at it and may just have be file it next week without her reviewing it. So now I am freaked out about it and need to do some more work on it, but at least it is almost done.

And today is only a 1/2 day at work b/c I have a doctor's appointment after lunch. So only about one more hour of work today!

I am about 50 pages away from finishing the last Harry Potter book. I was so tired last night I just couldn't finish it even though it is so good. It will be great for the waiting room at the dr.'s where I usually wait for at least an hour. Anyone else read Harry Potter? They are so entertaining.

I haven't had high bp all week. I forgot to bring my wrist cuff bp machine to work today, so I haven't taken it today, but I bet it is fine when I get to the doctors office. Maybe she will even let me start walking again! I am feeling quite fat lately, even though I have actually lost 1 lb in the last 2 weeks. Probably just losing the last of the muscle I did have.

Hi gals,

Diane - I've read all the Harry Potter books and LOVE them all! I don't read much, but those are one book that I make an exception for. The end is so good! I won't spoil it, in case you haven't finished. I hope your doc appt. went well.

Michelle - My vet told me I should at least get the enzymatic toothpaste in their mouth, if nothing else. So, let's hope it works, huh? :p

I've got a bunch of work to do, but no energy left to do it, so I think I'll just have a glass of wine and park my caboose in front of the TV. Catch up with ya'll tomorrow or Sunday! :*

Hey hater chicks...

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. I was on vacation this week. Didn't do much but putter and spend a day at the beach, but it was nice to be off work.

August - have fun with your out of town guests! Sounds like those squirrels have stolen your heart:)

Robin - I SO wish I was on the RT with you! It was nice talking to you tonight:)

Michele - is there any of that chocolate buttercream concoction left?

Diane - you must be getting so close! I love the Harry Potter books. I'm finished the last one too, and now I've started reading them again from the beginning.

Becky - I guess I missed something about your roof. I assume you're getting a new one?

Arista - so good to see you back! And how awesome that you bought a house! When do we get to see pics?

Dana - your boys are gorgeous, and Ralphie is absolutely adorable.

Jen - ugh. $900 for a/c in your Jeep, huh? That hurts. But it's worth it. I went through last summer with no air in my car and just about died commuting every day. Are you still only eating protein bars, wraps and fruit? I think I'm eating all the stuff you aren't. I'm getting quite flabbilicious.

Jana - you up and quit your job? YAY for you! It seemed like you hated it, so I think that's a good thing, yes?

Did I miss anyone? Probably. My brain is like a sieve.

Hopefully I'll have time to check in tomorrow.

Diane - no I haven't read any of the HP books but I was looking at the complete set in hardback on Amazon. I might just spring for it. I've seen all the movies and enjoyed them immensely. My nephew has admonished me to read the books -- lol! He and I have had a blast going to movies this week.

ETA Diane, congratulations on finishing up that project. You must be so relieved to have it behind you. Thank God your BP is back to normal. What did the doctor have to say?

Arista, let me know what you think of the enzymatic stuff.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with low energy levels. I've taken marathon naps everyday this week:eek: . I just started taking a BP med and I think that could explain it, but it could also just be from the heat and humidity -- UGH!

Shelley!! We've missed you around here, chickypoo!

You talked to Robin!! Oh boy! has she arrived at the RT yet? What did she say? Is she having fun? Has she met up with anyone else yet? Do tell all. :D

Oh yeah, the cake -- lol! I'm picking it up from the bakery tomorrow morning -- a chocolate layer cake with chocolate buttercream icing:9 . We're celebrating my DN's 14th birthday tomorrow, then he'll be going home on Sunday. I've been trying my best to entertain him this week. He'll be so excited tomorrow when he opens our gift. We, well DH, got him a gun (with his parent's approval, of course ;)). He has a rifle at home but he wanted some special kind of pistol so DH couldn't resist buying it for him. They're going to the firing range tomorrow morning for a little target shooting. I still need to wrap the thing. I think I have some kitty paper -- LMAO!!

Alright chickies -- I have to go. It's almost 9:30 and I still haven't had any dinner. G'night:*
