I took your advice sans screen and just opened my windows a crack. If I'm just going to be opening them a leeeetle, I don't mind any possible bugs flying in. Besides, bugs make for good play toys for the squirrels.

Goodmorning August and other haters. Sorry to not be around much. I had to work all weekend, Monday included. We had house guests too. My SIL and her family visited. DH had our friend "cater" a Thai dinner for them Saturday, so I didn't have to come home from work and cook. They left early yesterday, so when I got home from work, I finally did some gardening. I'd like to get all my flowers and veggies planted before vacation. I'm off Friday to pack and get last minute stuff done, then we leave in the wee hours of Sat to drive to Philly for our flight to Spokane. We will hook up with my sister and her DH there and spend the next 9 days driving and hiking through Yellowstone. Pray for traveling mercies and good weather!

August, I always worry our cats will push the screen out when they lounge in the open windows of the second story. So far they never have. LOL about Mr Crow's visit. How about if you add some of Mr Chedd to your homemade kitty food? Or is cheese a cat no-no?

Michele, sounds like you had a nice weekend. The "kids" all went to see Prince Caspian on Sunday afternoon. I'll wait to rent it. We may try to see the new Indiana Jones movie before vacation.

Jennifer, how long will Chad be gone?

Dana, how was your weekend? Did you get any "me" time, or was it all spent cooking, cleaning and watching kids sporting events? Does your workload lighten up a bit in the summer?

So workouts have been hit or miss. Between work, chores and company, more miss than hit. And most of my workouts have been cardio. I'm really due for a good leg workout, but I keep putting it off. It's probably a good thing I'm not doing a road trip this summer.

Hello Haters.

A great long weekend has come to an end. Got alot of stuff done around the house, the yard, etc.. and had some fun in IN yesterday.
We plan to go back on Labor Day and actually do the flea market but we did other things instead of it on Monday.

I will try and do KPC tonight or not. Not sure what kind of day lies ahead.

2 more weeks before my long weekend then about 4 till NY.

August-the squirrels are so loved. And, they're hunters too.

Don't cha just hate it when Tuesday feels like Monday!? It's so disorienting http://www.pic4ever.com/images/smashfreak.gif . And I never know when trash day is following a holiday -- is it today or tomorrow -- I don't know, but I'll be pretty bummed out if I miss it!

We saw the Indiana Jones movie yesterday and it was pretty good -- not quite as good as the old movies, but still a lot of fun. I highly recommend it...

...but the high point of my weekend was going to Home Depot with my darlin' DH http://www.pic4ever.com/images/Confuse.gif . And you know trouble's ahead when he says, "Why don't you turn your phone on just in case we get separated." http://www.pic4ever.com/images/tnp.gif

He wanted to look at gas grills. Our charcoal grill is about 15 years old and falling apart, and since he does most of the grilling he decided he'd like to try a gas grill for a change. I mean to tell you, for DH, looking at shiny new grills is like giving crack to an addict! Light emanated from his face, and his eyes were twinkling. OMG it was such a hoot! It's a good thing I was there or he'd've (I like to use double contractions every chance I get :7 ) come home with something like this.

I have a busy day planned with lot's of cleaning, and I have to hit the grocery store, too. I was a very good girl about my workouts over the weekend -- I did CCV8 twice. Now that I'm on a roll I want to keep it up so I'm going to do my workout first thing this morning -- yessiree!!

AUGIE -- I love Mr. Beaver!! OMG he's so cute!

Oh yes, there's nothing like a pile of paper to make your kitties happy! And bug!? Oh my, Johnny thinks bug stalking is great sport! :7

I'm back from a lovely seven days of vacation. I stayed home, got stuff done that never gets done, but did it sloooowly and really relaxed. I love stay-at-home vacations.

August - why don't you have screens? Poor you. And why don't you just throw in the towel and feed those kitties the dry food they love? Poor kitties.

Robin - oh boy, your vacation is almost here!!! Just think - you'll be in the Rockies, with LOTS of hill climbing. That should give you quite a leg workout!

Cuz - CC8???? Now, that's just not fair. You can't even begin to guess how I envy out right now. So, did you let DH bring home any sort of gas grill?

Afternoon ladies. Sorry to have deserted ya'll lately but I'm so busy at work it is insane!!!

Robin - I'm so envious of you - your upcoming vacation sounds wonderful!!!! Nope, things here at work don't slow down for the summer. It'll take me a good month or so after school is out just to finish up the paperwork that I'll be bombarded with in a few weeks. Then I have to order supplies, etc.

Michele - did your DH come home with a grill? Our grill is shot! I've asked the DH at least 2x to pick up another grill but so far, no luck! I don't have a truck or I'd get it myself. Your Johnny is so darn cute!!!!!

Shannon - glad to hear your vacation was relaxing. Time flies too fast though, doesn't it?

Aug - OMG that meal sounds gross!!! Eggshells??? Blech!! Blech!! Blech!!! You've got some smart kitties on your hands.

Jennifer - who did you go with this past weekend?

Jen - so what are you up to?

My weekend wasn't that great. Fri night and Sat was baseball. I then went to the races Sat-Mon a.m. which sucked. I HATE the races as much as Michele hates the cottage. Yesterday Gannon & I went over to my parents and did nothing. We've got baseball tonight and it is going to be rushing around since it is an away game.

I suppose I should get back to work. "sigh"

Hello Haters.

I went to Shipschewana with a friend of mine. No guy. We went antiquing at the mall, grocery at E &S Sales, and ate lunch at Wana Cup. It's homemade fast food. I ate the BEST Hot Fudge Sundae ever. All fresh cream from a local dairy farmer, the fries grown from local potatoe farmer, plus veggies and grains all grown there by the Amish.

Tonight, I blew off KPC. Might try again on wed night, I will be busy on Thurs so I won't workout again till Sat.

Good evening, I'm sure you are all logged off for the evening already.

Was a long day today w/ being first day back to work. I did end up doing KM leg drills & B&G floor work last night. Tonight was 40 min of cardio & 30 min of lower body. Think I'm going to take tomorrow or Wed night off... depends how I'm feeling after work tomorrow.

August- Yep, I can't believe I already miss him! His phone isn't working, he is trying to get that fixed, but he e-mailed me a couple times today to let me know they are okay but tired.

Michele- I did see your pic, he is TOO cute & does look similar to Storm! Aren't animals the best?? I'd really be lonely without them this week!!

Robin- I think you asked how long Chad is gone for, he'll be back very late in the evening on the 4th. He is going to be so messed up time wise, they are 7 hours ahead of us & he is going into work at 10AM Wednesday when he won't be home until about 11 or midnight Tuesday! MEN!

Jennifer- Was the roadtrip fun?

Dana- Hey stranger, hope work slows down for you some soon, you are missed greatly!!!

Okay, well I just got back from running a couple errands, got to clean up a few things around here, check e-mail, then going to curl up with my monsters & watch TV in bed until I fall asleep.
